September 25th saw a fantastic day of Bolt Action at Melbourne’s Games Portal, with Jump to Action running to allow new players to get a taste of competitive gaming (and allow the old hands to blow out the cobwebs!) before November’s two-day Operation Bear. With such a vibrant scene in Melbourne, the event sold out in under 24 hours, with eight players brand-new to Bolt Action events taking part. Designed specifically to be beginner-friendly, a fantastic time was had by all, and no doubt a few glittering Bolt Action careers have been sparked!

The standard of painting and gaming across the event was absolutely brilliant (to match the fantastic tables!), and many of the new players are already planning and painting their forces ready for Operation Bear (event details can be found here) – we can’t wait to see how they get on, and how their forces evolve!
