If you’re reading this, you almost certainly know who we are (and if you don’t then hi – we’re Warlord Games!), but you might not know that we’re not an only child. We actually have a sister company; Skytrex! Let’s find out a little about them, and some of the awesome things they produce.

Based just up the road from us in Loughborough (Luff-bruh, for our Transatlantic friends -ed.), Skytrex have been knocking around for absolutely ages, turning out fantastic military miniatures and model railway scenic accessories across many different scales since 1972. A proudly British company, Skytrex have been good friends of Warlord since our founding, and our first collaboration came 13 years ago with the factory accessories terrain set – lots of lovely crates and barrels! They’ve also worked with us for many years with their ‘contract casting’ services – making some of our models and moulds to the very highest standards, allowing us to produce ever greater volumes. These services also extend to numerous other companies, so if you’ve bought resin or metal historical miniatures over the years, there’s a good chance you’ve got some Skytrex in your collection already!

Where it all began…

During the Pandemic, an opportunity arose to turn friends into family, and Warlord Games purchased Skytrex. Day-to-day, very little changed, and they continued their great work, but in subsequent years we’ve grown ever closer. In 2026, Skytrex is a key part of our setup, providing their top-notch MDF terrain to many of our ranges – which you can find on our webstore – alongside an ever expanding range of their own products. They’ve also taken over as custodians of some of our own ranges, keeping them supported and expanding well into the future. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights of their roster:

Adobe buildings make for an amazing addition to any desert tabletop! On the other end of the temperature spectrum, the Eastern Front range brings the endless expanse of Russia down to a rather more manageable 6’x4′ table. These are just a part of their awesome range of 28mm MDF buildings, many of which are also available from us directly.

Got a ruined city that needs populating? Skytrex have you covered with their aptly-named City in Ruins range! If you’re heading to the jungle instead, their brand new Pacific Theatre range (available directly from us) gives you all the buildings you need to create vital strategic locations, or just decorate a table.

As the custodians of the Cruel Seas range, Skytrex continue to put out fantastic new ships for the action-packed game of MTB combat, including one of our CEO John’s favourites – the Black Swan-class sloops!

Got a hankering for some small-scale combat? Check out Command Decision, Skytrex’s own 15mm game, with a great range of miniatures for both WWII and post-war, as well as terrain and decals to bring your models to life.

Skytrex also plays host to the excellent Trent Miniatures line, which includes both fantastic character figures, and some uniquely ‘Nottinghamshire‘ models – perfect for a proudly East Midlands company. They’ve also got a broad range of figures for Black Powder and Pike & Shotte, from the French Revolution to Ottoman Janissaries!

Murawski’s incredible range of Napoleonics are also in the Skytrex stable. Of particular note is their truly gorgeous Retreat from Moscow line, packed with brilliant additions to any ill-fated French force.

They haven’t forgotten their railway roots, either! You’ll find a huge amount of O-Gauge scenery, much of which can be pressed into service to liven up your Bolt Action or Konflikt ’47 battlefields! Ever wondered where a particular set of crates or barrels in one of our scenic photos came from? There’s a good chance it’s Skytrex.

We’ve mentioned the decals previously, but we haven’t mentioned just how many of them there are! Covering scales from 1/350th right up to 28mm, there’s quite literally something for everyone. If you’re looking to really take your models to the next level, Skytrex have just the thing for you on one of their many, many decal sheets.

That’s a lot of words, and a lot of pretty pictures, but that really is just the tip of the iceberg! Get over the the Skytrex site and have a rummage around – we promise you you’ll find something you like, and probably plenty of things you weren’t expecting to find! We’re proud to have Skytrex as part of the Warlord Games family, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next, be it terrain, miniatures, or decals.

If you want to know more about Skytrex, why not book a tour? Give them a call on 01509 213789, and you can arrange to have a look around their site to see how everything’s made!

Please note – Skytrex are a separate business, and therefore if you wish to purchase something from them directly, unfortunately we can’t combine it with an order from Warlord Games. However, we do stock plenty of their products on our own website too!
