It’s that time of year again! We’re reaching the end of the summer, and that means it’s time to look forward to our favourite annual tradition – the Open Day! On Saturday September 27th, we’re throwing our doors open, and welcoming you to our home. We always like to put on something extra special for the Open Day, and this year is no exception.
2024’s Open Day was the launch party for Bolt Action: Third Edition, and we knew we had to do something really big to match that. Luckily, we’ve got a little thing called Konflikt ‘47 to get excited about, and the 2025 Open Day will serve as the ‘grand opening’ of K47 – hopefully without a rift appearing in the middle of the warehouse!
So, with that in mind, what can you expect to see, do, and take away from this year’s Open Day?
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted with a goodie bag, containing all sorts of, well, goodies! These will include an exclusive Konflikt ‘47 model only available during the Open Day, as well as brand-new sprues, bespoke Konflikt ‘47 dog-tags, and more. You’ll also find a huge range of special deals and offers in our store, including the price of your ticket off any starter set, army, or fleet, and that’s before you’ve even left the shop!
As this Open Day is a celebration of Konflikt ‘47’s arrival, we’ll be showing off upcoming releases for the first time. You’ll be able to see the new models, alongside a whole host of brand new models from across our ranges, in the Design Studio on the ever-popular factory tours. These take you behind the scenes of Warlord Games, giving you unprecedented access to every aspect of our operations, from design to manufacturing and production. Our expert staff are always happy to explain how they go about making the finest miniatures in history, and you might even get to have a go at casting some miniatures!
It’s not just looking around – there’s loads of great activities to get involved in! We’re running a painting competition on the day, full details of which will be revealed soon, as well as two Konflikt ‘47 ‘make and takes’, where you can build a Firefly, and have a go at speed-painting Stahltruppen. If you want to get a gaming fix on the day, we’ll be running a variety of demo and participation games, including of course K47 – you can see the full list below:

We’ve also lined up some very special seminars, including the ever-popular discussion of our longer-term plans with John Stallard and Rick Priestley, while Alessio Cavatore will be on hand to field all of your burning Bolt Action questions. We’ve also put together a very special Konflikt ‘47 panel to take you behind the scenes of the creation of this awesome game, miniatures, and universe – this will be one that you don’t want to miss!
Finally, we know that wargaming is hungry work, so naturally we’ve got a burger van supplying only the finest midday scran, keeping you fuelled for a great day out.
