It’s been a ride hasn’t it? The new version of Konflikt ‘47 hit the shelves last September, with four brand new plastic kits alongside the new book. In January this year we published a roadmap for this year’s releases, so we thought it was a good time to update you on progress and what plastic kits you can expect going forward.

To begin with, let’s talk a little philosophy – specifically, our focus on plastics. While there have been some wonderfully characterful Warlord Resin models like Der Erntemannn, and the original K47 range in metal and resin is still available, we know that for many people building armies is much easier in plastic. Plastic kits also allow for plenty of weapon and equipment options, as well as the chance to start building up a bits box for conversions. So, while we’ll continue to design some new heroes and specialist units in Warlord Resin, we’re committed to fleshing out the current army lists with plastic kits. All that’s before we start expanding those lists with new and exciting units, too!

Let’s take a look at where we are with past and upcoming releases as of summer 2026 – a year on from the pre-orders, and nine months from the main game’s release:

We’re already up to 14 plastic kits available (not including the two push-fit frames we’ve been giving away at events), with three more landing soon and three walkers arriving before the end of the year. Those walker kits will have a ton of weapon options too, to give you lots of variation in your armies. There will also be another three plastic heroes arriving this year, so by the end of 2026 there will be 23 plastic kits in store (I think, don’t shout at me if I’ve added that up wrong!). The Onryo, which will go on pre-order late 2026 alongside a handful of other kits and arrive early in the new year, will also have multiple build options.

A few people have asked us why we can’t be more definite with the timing of some of these kits. The simple answer is that we’ve massively increased our output of plastics, as well as the complexity of some of those kits, especially the walkers, and we’ve never sustained this level of plastic release before. While all the design, mould making and manufacture of our metal, resin and Warlord Resin models is done here at our HQ in Nottingham, our plastic miniatures are designed here and the tooling and manufacturing is done by our partners.

Our main supplier, based in the South East of England, is running at maximum capacity, and will continue to be our closest working partner for our plastic miniatures. They have a brilliant understanding of what makes a great Warlord Games miniature and have played a huge part in our success. Bolt Action players will know that we also partner with Italeri for many of our vehicles, and we’ve had some single model push-fit frames tooled and manufactured by Wayland Games. We’re leaving no stone unturned in our pursuit of new manufacturing routes, but that added complexity makes planning very challenging.

Sometimes we may (and have in the past) need to move a particular release around in the schedule, so that we can ensure it’s the very best it can be. If and when this happens, we’ll let you know – crucially, it won’t happen once a plastic kit is on pre-order, as by that stage it’s been locked in for a long time already, so you can place your orders with confidence!

Remember that all this is on top of our continuing Bolt Action release plan, with a new plastic infantry frame every quarter, as well as more new plastic vehicles and the most exciting recent development: all plastic guns and heavy weapons. Naturally, lots of these kits are also suitable for Konflikt ‘47 – any rumours that the addition of an extra .50 cal on the US heavy weapons frame was due to lobbying from K47 players is just hearsay, though!

Invasion Amerika will be hitting the shelves at the end of August, continuing to drive the Konflikt narrative forwards and giving you some evocative scenarios to play. The third volume in the Rift War series will go on pre-order in November, and of course we’ll continue to publish updates to the army lists, including new platoons and unit rules as new models come out.

Of course, all this is just the start. The Konflikt ’47 team have already planned out 2027’s plastics, and it’s safe to say that we’ll be taking another big step up in the number and variety of Konflikt ‘47 kits, on top of a steady stream of Bolt Action kits, a new Epic game, and new plastic kits for our other historical ranges. It’s full steam ahead, and we’re incredibly excited to be able to share our plans with you in the not-too-distant future!
