As we all enjoy the festive period, let’s take a moment to look back and reflect on some of the highlights of what has been an absolutely enormous year for us at Warlord Games, full of releases from across the whole spectrum of our ranges. With new games, new editions, and loads of new models, it’s been a bumper year, no matter what your favourite setting to wargame!
We kicked off the new year with the release of ABC Warriors in January. This latest addition to our 2000 AD stable brought the heavy metal mayhem of these warring robots to the tabletop with a whole new ruleset and some of our most incredible models to date.
March saw the return of some incredibly beloved American Civil War units. Formerly produced by Forgotten & Glorious, the range was expertly remastered and has now been released in crisply detailed Warlord Resin, providing a fantastic foundation for any ACW collection.
April brought a whole new dimension to our line of World War II wargames, in the form of Achtung Panzer! Bringing armoured warfare to the tabletop like never before, it gives you a whole new way to utilise your Bolt Action tanks. Keep an eye out for more Achtung Panzer! goodness in 2025!
May saw a very interesting announcement, with whispers through the Rifts heralding big news for Konflikt ’47! An elite team of creative minds has been assembled, and strange and wondrous things are afoot in secret laboratories…
In July, we introduced even more Epic Battles awesomeness, visiting the legendary Punic Wars between Rome and Carthage for the first time with Hail Caesar Epic Battles! This range introduced a whole host of fantastic miniatures, including our innovative new system for ranked-up Romans, and of course – plastic war elephants!
September was pretty quiet, and not much went on… oh, except for a little release called BOLT ACTION: THIRD EDITION! The new edition of the world’s greatest World War II wargame landed with a bang, bringing new and updated rules and a whole host of changes designed to maximise force customisability and most importantly fun!
Alongside the rules came the first in an enormous range of new miniatures – the plastic Winter Fallschirmjäger and Winter US Army Infantry, as well as new starter sets. As it turns out, September was one of our biggest months ever, and laid the foundations for an incredibly exciting 2025.
November and December saw back-to-back releases for Hail Caesar, this time in 28mm, and both set in Britain! First up, Once & Future King took us to the mist-shrouded Dark Ages, where historical fact blends with the mythical deeds of the legendary King Arthur and his Knights of Camelot, while The Wars of the Roses brings the bloody dynastic struggle for Fifteenth Century England between Lancaster and York to life on the tabletop.
It’s been an amazing year for releases, and 2025 looks to be even better. We’ve got a full slate of Bolt Action releases lined up, including an absolute ton of new plastic and Warlord Resin kits, and no fewer than four (count ‘em!) new Armies of… books! Plenty of our other systems will also feel the love with new kits, books, and entire new ranges and periods joining the roster. If that wasn’t enough to get the hype rising, we’re also incredibly excited to declare that 2025 will be the ‘Year of Konflikt‘ – now what on earth could that mean?
