Well, how’s that for a surprise? This February will see the release of another new Bolt Action
book – but this one isn’t an Armies of…! Let’s have a look at what’s going on with this newest
member of the family – the Bolt Action Compendium!

Bolt Action Compendium, by Warlord Games

So, what is the Bolt Action Compendium? Well, at its core, it’s a collection of scenarios, unit profiles, special rules, and historical background designed to enhance your games of Bolt Action, and add new dimensions to your games. Whether you want to re-fight the campaigns of the Chindits in the sweltering heat of the Burmese jungle, strike against the occupying German forces in Greece, France, or Poland, or follow the Japanese SNLF through the Pacific, this book has something for you.

Drawn from our awesome and passionate community, the Bolt Action Compendium is a
collection of articles – some of which have previously been featured on this very site, and some that have never seen the light of day – from guest authors, giving you inspiration and guidance for fielding truly unique forces and recreating some of the somewhat lesser-known engagements of the Second World War. We’ve taken these articles and given them a Third Edition makeover, updating the rules to match the latest iteration of Bolt Action, and paired them with awesome new scenario maps and photography.

Let’s take a look at the kind of things you can expect to find within the pages of the
Compendium:

Designed to add even more options to your Bolt Action toolbox, and fully integrated with
Third Edition, the Compendium is an essential addition to your bookshelf, allowing you to
add even more depth to your gaming experience. Take as much from it as you like, change
things up, add or subtract parts, and bring a whole new level of fun to Bolt Action! Designed
as a resource for campaign and historically themed gaming, while we don’t expect to see
many of these units getting involved in ‘competitive’ gaming, even the most veteran
Tournament Organisers can find inspiration to challenge their players within the pages of the
Bolt Action Compendium.

If the Compendium has you inspired, or you’ve got a particular passion for a specific
campaign or force that you want to see get more love in Bolt Action, why not get in touch
with us and have a chat about writing an article of your own? We’re always delighted to
receive submissions from our fantastic community. You can get in contact and submit any
writing to articles@warlordgames.com, and who knows – your work might just end up on this very site, forming part of the wide world of Bolt Action!
