Where Eagles Dare

Where Eagles Dare, is a celebration of armour in all it’s dubious oily glory. With a slight change to the rules (making the Tank Platoon the compulsory choice) and using the V2 Tank War rule book as a guide, have also stated that all infantry and artillery units must have a transport/tow. We also restrict those nations who get tank riders to one unit of such, fare dodging is frown upon. The emphasis is on e that it is MECHANISED WARFARE so there is a strict no horses rule. We want tanks on the table not cavalry charges……(we leave that to the Napoleonics and such).

The event is also used to raise funds not just for our own local wargames club (Wargames and RolePlaying Group/WARG) but also for the British Legion. As our club is hosted by the Legion, it works out that everything we raise ends up in their coffers either in rent from the club or by direct donation from the proceeds.
