Veterans Wargames Association Championships

The Veterans Wargames Association (VWA) Championships is an annual event where a large group of folks associated with the UK Armed Forces – serving personnel from all three services, veterans, civil servants and civilians who simply appreciate being part of a closeknit community – get together and play a friendly competition ranging from ancient warfare to far future combat. The VWA was formerly known as The RAF Wargames Association and has been in existence since the mid-1980’s. The group’s members had become so diverse (mainly due to retirement and the ever-decreasing size of the UK military) that a couple of years ago it was decided to change its name to encompass the more wide-ranging mix of its current membership! A small group of us have been running a Bolt Action (Second Edition) competition for the last few years and are especially excited to try out the new, Third Edition of Bolt Action!
