UEA Historical Wargame Taster – Bolt Action!

We’re looking at using this taster event as a way to get players into the world of Historical wargaming and bty extent, Bolt Action. At our university, Warhammer and its variations are the main game systems played so presenting a cheaper (and more fun!) alternative to get more people into the hobby. – If you can’t get new people, it becomes a ticking timebomb.

We’ve divided our event into two distinct parts, Firstly we are running a semi-competitive tournament for those who have already played the system to be able to roll some dice as well as using our support prize to give a 1st place. Secondly, we’ll be running a winter thematic beginners table, where each person will control a platoon and learn how to play the game in a friendly environment and if there is enough time, play a full game to confirm. This event will also be used by myself as an idea of how successful Bolt Action will be at this university, as there are no other people planning to run it.
