The Art of War

A variable points event based on the three phases of war, Strategic Phase, Execution Phase, Final Phase.
The players start off deploying the 600 points of the force to act as Recce for their grand armies, this leads to a land grab engagement as they try to secure the best battlefield for their army to fight on, now because this is rookie friendly we will have small prizes on the table to be won. Next the full force arrives at 1250 and battle commences but as seen in the historical documentary ‘Bridge too far’ some genius brought the battle plans with them so alongside trying to defeat the enemy you need to capture the battle plan too. The day winds down with a 1000 points tactical withdrawal from battle, not a retreat, a reimagining of the deployment strategy, as your troops are leaving them behind a nice explosion to slow down anyone looking to chase them.
