Special Operations – Rapid Response
Special Operations events run by Charity Wargaming Circuit are designed to raise awareness for Birmingham Hospice, a charity that is near to me. After my dad passed 2022, I wanted to do something to give back. Rapid Response is like all events run by CWC will have a focused name of help and support.
Deploy your elite strike forces for a vital local cause at The War Effort: Rapid Response, a fast-paced Bolt Action: Third Edition evening charity event launching on 28th July at the Moseley All Services Club to raise community awareness for Birmingham Hospice. This unique event challenges commanders to field agile, hard-hitting 600-point forces built for small-unit special operations across custom, thematic terrain. Utilizing the latest Third Edition rules, the tournament focuses on aggressive maneuvering and lightning-fast tactical decision-making rather than a standard war of attrition. Entry is completely free to all, as the primary mission of the evening is to spotlight and celebrate the crucial palliative and end-of-life care that Birmingham Hospice provides to individuals and families across the Midlands.
The entire operation is packed into a single, high-energy evening running from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, featuring three intensive 1-hour rounds following a quick mandatory briefing. Because the venue offers expansive space, there is no player capacity limit, making this the perfect opportunity for players of all experience levels—from seasoned veterans to complete newcomers—to gather, talk hobby, and experience the thrill of Third Edition in a tight, accessible timeframe. Whether you are fielding highly trained commandos, airborne squads, or light vanguard units, come along for an incredible night of cinematic tabletop warfare, great sportsmanship, and community solidarity.
