Step back in time to relive the 1940s and enjoy a good old fashioned knees-up on Monday 4 May 2015!
There will be a variety of 1940s themed activities taking place during the day at The Museum of Nottingham Life at Brewhouse Yard and New to this year at theNottingham Castle.
The event runs from 11am – 3.30pm at The Museum of Nottingham Life at Brewhouse Yard and 11am – 4pm at Nottingham Castle
This fun-day for all the family includes:
Brewhouse Yard
- Meet the heroes and heroines of the home front
- Find out if you could have coped with rationing, food to fashion
- Watch the Swing Dancers in action
- Join Johnny Victory and sing-a-long to some of the old favourites
- Play old fashioned street games
Nottingham Castle (Bandstand area)
- Put yourself to the test on the assault course
- See the 508th Parachute infantry Regiment display with Jump 44
- Listen to Jayne Darling and the Jump & Jive Swing Band
