D-Day Ostrava

In collaboration with the local American Center, “D-Day Ostrava” commemorates the anniversary of the Normandy landings and its heroes. It is a once-a-year opportunity for the whole local Bolt Action community to meet in one place and challenge each other in a friendly atmosphere. Players can bring their own armies, or borrow an army on site. The game tables are set up with detailed home made terrains created specially for this event, including a Normandy beach, a French village and, for the first time this year, a town bridge scene inspired by our home town.

“D-Day Ostrava” is open to the public so that anyone can come learn more about the historical event that inspired it and see what Bolt Action is all about. We are happy to explain the rules of the game and even let the visitors join in with a borrowed army. This year we are also adding a raffle, the proceeds from which will go to a charity supporting Czech WW2 veterans.
