Caladrius Games Escalation & Veni, Vidi, Vici Tournament

Currently we have a small informal local Bolt Action community comprised of new players
and a few seasoned tournament veterans (one 2023 WTC participant). Our goal is entice
more players, educate everyone on the new 3rd Edition rule set and build a sense of
collegial competition. We have designed a simple and straightforward set of rules for the
escalation league designed to value education over competition. The culmination will be a
competitive format tournament in August we are calling “Veni, Vidi, Vici”. In addition to
promotional flyers in area game stores, we have tried to weekly build hype and draw in new
players via Caladrius Games (host store) Facebook site, as well as both Georgia and
Tennessee Bolt Action Facebook groups. Thus far the response has been bigger than we
reasonably hoped. January 26th we are hosting a kicko event to introduce everyone to
the format, familiarize with the 3 terrain tables we have built for the league and answer any
questions regarding the league, tournament or 3rd Edition rule set. This will include free
hamburgers and hotdogs to hopefully entice any fence sitters and allow for socializing.
Myself and another player have offered free loaner armies for anyone that would like to play
but may have nancial constraints.
