“A Mighty Endeavor” – An Operation Overlord Bolt Action Event

On June 6th, 1944, Allied forces began their invasion of German-occupied Western Europe in Normandy, France, also known as D-Day. Operation Overlord was the codename for the Battle of Normandy (6 June – 30 August). In remembrance of the 81st Anniversary of D-Day and Operation Overlord, we are hosting an special thematic event on June 7th, 2025. This event is intended to be a theater specific tournament with tables set up to recreate battles through the Normandy countryside and towns.

Tables will be set up in three long rows. Each row of tables will represent different areas of Normandy. For example, one row will recreate several towns, and another row recreating the French Countryside. Using photographs and maps during WWII, we are doing the best we can to recreate historical locations such as Sainte-Mère-Église, Brécourt Manor and the iconic French bocages throughout the countryside. And even some areas from movies such as the fictional town of Remelle in Saving Private Ryan.
