SUMMARY:General Patton's Brawl and Ball
DESCRIPTION:1000 points\, single generic reinforced infantry platoon. Only units specifically allowed in generic reinforced platoons will be used. No Tank Platoons. \nNo more than one MLRS \nNo naval artillery observers\, special characters\, or news reporters. No aircraft models.  \nBritish Commonwealth units will follow the guidelines provided in the “Tough Gut” supplement. If you have questions please feel free to contact the tournament organizers. In simple terms\, Specialized units like Gurkhas\, Maori\, SAS\, Commando\, etc get their own special rules and do not get the national characteristic in addition. Use of the Gurkha MTO unit from Tough Gut is preferred over the basic rulebook Gurkha or Gurkha Para units. \nThis event takes place in a museum that has tanks and tank destroyers from World War Two on display inside and out. Players will be awarded 3 victory points for including an armored vehicle of armor value 9 or up.  \nVictory points per turn will be awarded at the following values – \n4 for major victory \n3 for minor victory \n2 for tie \n1 for minor loss \n0 for major loss \nCheck in at 9:00 am on Saturday\, Games start at 10:00 \nGame 1 10am – 12pm \nLunch Break 12pm-1pm \nGame 2 1:15pm-3:15pm \nGame 3 3:45pm- 5:45pm \nMissions will be announced the day of the event! \nNow for some event specific house rules! \nInfantry inside armored (7+) transports do not take pins when the vehicle comes under fire by small arms. Fire from any weapon with armor penetration 1 or higher causes pins as normal.  \nMMG teams (Not vehicle mounted MMGs) firing at enemies within their range cause one pin automatically\, and two pins total if a hit is scored on the unit.  \nTiger fear will not be in effect. Instead\, all German tanks with light AT gun or larger get “Improved German Optics”\, which means they do not suffer a shooting penalty with main armament when firing at long range. This does not apply to vehicle MG’s\, howitzers or autocannons\, only main anti tank guns that are AP4 or greater. The minus one armor penetration at long range is still in effect for all kinetic (non-HE) weapons.  \nThis event is held at the General Patton Museum of Leadership at Fort Knox Kentucky. We all love our history and military themed shirts\, but anyone displaying emblems or symbols deemed offensive or inappropriate by management  will be asked to change into something more appropriate. SUMMARY:For the Partisans!  Bolt action tournament at Huzzah 2024
DESCRIPTION:Virginia Hall\, a US citizen working for the British Special Operations Executive\, set up French resistance cells starting with nothing in Vichy France. When Germany invaded Vichy\, she fled over the Pyrenees Mountains to Portugal. She climbed over 8000 meters in the winter\, with one prosthetic leg that was falling apart by the time she made it down and out of the mountains. Her network included prostitutes\, nuns\, and farmers. The Vichy could be worse than the Nazis when it came to interrogation techniques\, so courage was needed by all members of the resistance.\nWhen the time came for D-Day\, there were thousands of acts of sabotage. Sugar in gas tanks\, grit in grease and oil\, misdirected supplies\, changed road signs\, mine roads\, even ambushes. For this tournament\, players are asked to bring one\, 2 or 3 partisan themed objectives. While we are using the French resistance as inspiration\, there were partisans working for other nations. So use your imagination on those objective markers!

SUMMARY:Dogged Defence
DESCRIPTION:Building on the success of my first event in February I am presenting Dogged Defence\, a three round tournament using standard single platoon lists at 1250 points.  The one change I am introducing for this event is the mandatory inclusion of a medium tank\, or 9+ damage vehicle\, that can be added outside of the single tank slot in the reinforced platoon.  The Bolt Action scene throughout Southern Ontario is not only growing but coming together.  At Dogged Defence on May 5th I hope to continue to bring in players from all over Ontario\, further forging the overall scene and  growing the pool of competition. \nNew AV production equipment is being rolled out for this event to record a minimum of two matches which will be posted to my YouTube channel.  New terrain tables are also being added to continue the quality our events are known for.  The location is spacious and I will continue to hold events at the Rundle Park Community Centre as it is private and closed to our event .  The goal is to establish these events as the premiere location that everyone will mark on their calendars throughout the year.

DESCRIPTION:Event is a fun\, light hearted\, fast and furious 1000pt Tank Wars tournament.\nThere will be 4x 35min (+5 min set up) timed rounds. Each player will play 3 of these rounds and have a “rest” round (this format avoids the need for Bys as there will be a  Force X commanded by a volunteer player to play the spare man). DESCRIPTION:Finally the doors will to Alphaspel will open to another amazing Bolt Action event! It’s been almost a year since the last time and we are happy to announce that the interest in “Objective Alpha” has been through the roof! We have increased the number of tables to accommodate all but there is still a waiting list. Which we think you should register for by the way! You never know\, things happen and there might be an open spot or two on short notice.  \nThe boards will be fantastic as we have some of Sweden’s finest terrain builders contributing with several tables – in fact ALL of the tables will be created by dedicated hobbyists. No scraped together piles of flock – quality battlefields on all 11 tables! If you are missing the event you will definitely be seeing a lot of it in the usual social media channels. \nTwo games of 1000 point generic forced platoons will be played. 3 hours for each game which should be plenty of time. During the lunch break you can get your meal at Alphaspel’s excellent restaurant. Coffee and other types of energy will be close by.  \nWe have a lot of prize support for this event and our goal is not only great prizes for the winners\, every player will have some kind of memorable mini to bring home! A prize for Best painted force will be awarded too of course. \nEven if you are not playing or maybe you are just interested in the game we would love to see you at Alphaspel on April 21st. Players are friendly and we are more than happy to give you a tour around the tables and explain some rules. \nWelcome!

DESCRIPTION:This event is a single day Bolt Action Tournament. Consisting of 3 games. 2 hours each.  Armies will be 1000pts\, consisting of one Single Reinforced Platoon. No dice limit. No Theater Selectors allowed. No Armored Platoons. Each platoon will follow all the normal restrictions. Theatre selector units that are explicitly allowed for the Generic Reinforced Platoon are permitted. This tournament will follow a new scoring format as a test to prepare for a Maryland State Bolt Action Championship. Hosted this year by Andy Moore (Terry wants to play this year!😉) This tournament will entail a ‘Singles Saturday’ comprising 4 games (Yes\, you read that correctly\, 4 games!!!) and ‘Sunday-Funday Doubles’ comprising 2 games\, with the results from the Saturday event eligible for Scottish Tournament Championship points. Bolt Action Scotland encourage players of all calibre to their events\, with a seasoned core of knowledgeable gamers who will assist those taking their first foray into playing multiple game events. The tournament will take place between Sat 20 and Sun 21 Apr 2024\, with spaces for 40 players. There will be options for people to attend the whole weekend\, Sat Only or Sun Only\, to cater for availability and flexibility of those wishing to partake in the fun-that-is Bolt Action in Scotland!.\nPlus\, there’s no need to go hunting for that elusive doubles partner!!\, we’ve done the hard work for you!! DESCRIPTION:Bitter cold of the Hertgen Forest. Snow and forests of Finland.  Frozen steppes of Russia.  The cold is a second enemy\, waiting for the unwary of either side\, to take its due. This tournament is about winter war.  Almost all nationalities fought in the cold bitter winters throughout the war.  So bring your winter troops!  If they aren’t wearing winter uniforms\, it will be assumed that they are wearing summer uniforms.  We will choose missions from the Juggernaut tournament pack\, and add some winter weather rules and winter terrain rules.
