SUMMARY:La batalla en plaza Italia (Battle of Plaza Italia Valley)
DESCRIPTION:ING.\nWe want to host an event for Bolt Action beginners who are eager to learn. We chose the name “Plaza Italia” for the event because it serves as a common gathering point for the various communities of Santiago. Our approach involves creating the smallest possible army lists\, allowing new players to participate by purchasing just a single box of infantry from their favorite faction. Originally\, we planned to hold the tournament in September—our national month\, marking the First Government Junta—but since that time has passed\, we selected November instead; this month holds great significance for the course of World War II\, witnessing events such as Operation Torch and the French offensive.\nI enjoy using these occasions to play and learn about historical events alongside others; I studied history education and worked as a teacher for several years\, and these games allow me to share my passion for history with other people. Consequently\, while the event aims to be competitive\, it also seeks to foster a festive atmosphere focused on learning. \nESP.\nQueremos realizar un evento para principiantes de Bolt Action que estén con ganas de aprender. Es por eso que hemos elegido el nombre de Plaza Italia para el evento ya que es un lugar de comunión para las localidades de Santiago. Nuestra temática será hacer listas lo más pequeñas posibles para poder invitar a jugadores nuevos a participar comprando una sola caja de infantería de la facción que más le guste. Adicionalmente a eso\, nuestra primera idea sobre hacer el torneo era realizarlo en Septiembre ya que es el mes patrio por la primera junta de gobierno. Pero como se nos pasó el tiempo elegimos noviembre por lo importante que fue para el desarrollo de la segunda guerra\, como la operación antorcha o la ofensiva francesa.\nPara estas instancias me gusta aprovechar de jugar y aprender con otros sobre eventos históricos\, estudié pedagogía en historia y ejercí como profesor durante algunos años\, y gracias a estos juegos puedo compartir mi afición por la historia con otras personas. Entonces además de que el evento intente ser competitivo\, busca tener un ambiente más festivo y de aprendizaje.

By expanding the tournament to a two-day format\, the event also aims to make the journey worthwhile for players traveling from further away. Instead of attending a short one-day tournament\, participants can enjoy multiple rounds\, more time with the community\, and a full weekend dedicated to Bolt Action\, making it easier and more appealing for players from all parts of the country to join. On Saturday evening\, a special dining event will be organized for all players\, offering a relaxed opportunity to socialize\, share experiences from the games\, and strengthen the community beyond the tabletop.

I really wanted to bring a competitive scene to South Australia as we’ve had so many\nwonderful previous beginner and themed events brought to us by the foundational Operation Shrike\nseries with Group North having also hosted a number of events so far. Operation Crucible hopes to bring\na real test of players skills in both list building and execution on the table\, a test of players resilience and\nheart. THIS WILL BE A COMPETETIVE EVENT. \nTo my fellow wargamers\, companions in this wonderful hobby we share\, welcome to Operation Crucible\n– The Second Pour. Operation Crucible is a competitive Bolt Action tournament where skill\, strategy and\nresilience are forged under pressure. This is a serious competitive event designed for players who thrive\non high-stakes gameplay\, precise decision-making and the pursuit of excellence.\nAs I stated in my intro we’ve had a lot of good introductory games and themed events but as for normal\,\nsolid competitive Bolt Action tournaments we’ve had about 1 or 2. Im hoping this tournament could\nbecome the best competitive scene in South Australia (big dreams I know). I would love to start doing 4\na year and move from club to club to spread the good word of Bolt Action. I have build good\nrelationships with a few Club presidents and members and could do 2 North (Garrison Wargaming Club\n& Group North Wargaming Club) and 2 South (Chaotic Kraken & Dragons Lair) a year. DESCRIPTION:The event is a 3 person teams event where by you take on different aspects of Bolt Action and time periods with strict army composition. 1000pts with a 14 dice limit is imposed BUT the 3 lists being submitted have to be as follows:\n3 different nations\n2 platoons with 1 rifle platoon being mandatory\n1 list will need to be Early War\, 1 list Mid War\, 1 Late War\nAnd no more than 2 of ANY unit even base infantry \nThis means you will need to be mindful of what you use in what era.\nWith Captains taking responsibility for putting their team members against each other\, it’s not a bidding war\, it’s the luck of the draw WITH an exception of that Captains with have a SABOTAGE card that can only be used once to swap 2 of their match ups in 1 game. It will all be down to having a rounded list for whatever mission\, nation\, and era you get drawn into.
