DESCRIPTION:Bigger\, Badder\, Better – with more time for rounds this time!\nA two day\, five game Bolt Action Grand Tournament hosted in the heart of the UK at the largest Hobby Games Convention in the country!\nArmies are to be made of 1\,250pts using one of the following:\nUp to two generic reinforced platoons\nOne theatre selector\nEach game will be 2h:30m in duration. \nThis tournament is unapologetically a competitive event\, and players will be expected to bring their A game and attempt to out-think and outplay their opponents on the day. To not discourage the more casual player\, we tend to find that being up front and admitting that people will be trying to win leads to a more fun & relaxed day. We know what we are all here for after all! This is not an excuse for poor sportsmanship; our #1 rule is showing respect to your opponents and each other. Players will\ncompete on merit & skill rather than underhand techniques to abuse their way to victory. Callous behaviour or unsporting habits (not declaring before rolling\, slow playing etc) is not acceptable and any outright cheating will be a one-way ticket out the door.\nTo further emphasise our style of event\, only small token awards will be given to the top placed players\, as winning is the reward itself. Instead\, all the prizes will be raffled off to random entrants regardless of placement. Therefore\, please do not feel you\nneed to be God’s gift to Bolt Action to attend. DESCRIPTION:Operation Ambassador is a hobby-first event. We encourage players to bring the models they think look the coolest or may be their favorite\, at the cost of competitiveness. SUMMARY:General Patton's Brawl and Ball
DESCRIPTION:1000 points\, single generic reinforced infantry platoon. Only units specifically allowed in generic reinforced platoons will be used. No Tank Platoons. \nNo more than one MLRS \nNo naval artillery observers\, special characters\, or news reporters. No aircraft models.  \nBritish Commonwealth units will follow the guidelines provided in the “Tough Gut” supplement. If you have questions please feel free to contact the tournament organizers. In simple terms\, Specialized units like Gurkhas\, Maori\, SAS\, Commando\, etc get their own special rules and do not get the national characteristic in addition. Use of the Gurkha MTO unit from Tough Gut is preferred over the basic rulebook Gurkha or Gurkha Para units. \nThis event takes place in a museum that has tanks and tank destroyers from World War Two on display inside and out. Players will be awarded 3 victory points for including an armored vehicle of armor value 9 or up.  \nVictory points per turn will be awarded at the following values – \n4 for major victory \n3 for minor victory \n2 for tie \n1 for minor loss \n0 for major loss \nCheck in at 9:00 am on Saturday\, Games start at 10:00 \nGame 1 10am – 12pm \nLunch Break 12pm-1pm \nGame 2 1:15pm-3:15pm \nGame 3 3:45pm- 5:45pm \nMissions will be announced the day of the event! \nNow for some event specific house rules! \nInfantry inside armored (7+) transports do not take pins when the vehicle comes under fire by small arms. Fire from any weapon with armor penetration 1 or higher causes pins as normal.  \nMMG teams (Not vehicle mounted MMGs) firing at enemies within their range cause one pin automatically\, and two pins total if a hit is scored on the unit.  \nTiger fear will not be in effect. Instead\, all German tanks with light AT gun or larger get “Improved German Optics”\, which means they do not suffer a shooting penalty with main armament when firing at long range. This does not apply to vehicle MG’s\, howitzers or autocannons\, only main anti tank guns that are AP4 or greater. The minus one armor penetration at long range is still in effect for all kinetic (non-HE) weapons.  \nThis event is held at the General Patton Museum of Leadership at Fort Knox Kentucky. We all love our history and military themed shirts\, but anyone displaying emblems or symbols deemed offensive or inappropriate by management  will be asked to change into something more appropriate. Refusal to do so will result in expulsion from the event.  \nGeneral Patton’s BBQ Ball Event ($20 per ticket prepaid) \nStarts at 5:45\, dinner served at 6:00pm.
