DESCRIPTION:Operation Full Command gives you the opportunity to show of your skills conducting war across three different aspects of Bolt Action in three action packed games. First you’ll lead an all infantry platoon into battle which is then followed by a larger tank platoon in game 2. These 2 platoons will then be combined for an epic final battle to see who is able to take Full Command of their forces and lead them to victory.\nThe event is suitable for both those new to Bolt Action events and more experienced players\, and we encourage players to use both thematic and less seen units and forces. It first started with 6 People playing and had got bigger each year with 14 players last year. SUMMARY:Attrition II
DESCRIPTION:Attrition is as far as we’re aware the only event where your army gets smaller as the rounds progress.\nThis year we are kicking off with a 1500 point game over 3 hours – single or double generic platoons\, or a single Theatre list. Apart from no Tank Platoons allowed anything goes. There are no army or dice restrictions\, just be sensible with your dice count as we want to finish in time.\nThe second game will be 1100 points – a Pyrrhic victory has left you with no reserves. but you must push on. There are the same (lack of) restrictions as the 1500 point game.\nThe third is 750 points – it’s getting dark and the tanks have gone for a brew. In this game there are no armoured vehicles\, so AV6 max. To make is fairer at this points level there are no free units allowed. \nBeing the swansong of Bolt Action v2 we want to see as many varied lists as possible. Hopefully we will see some nice fun or themed lists\, especially at 1500points.\nAlso Johnny Ferg is cooking lunch\, so you don’t want to miss that!

SUMMARY:Small Unit Tactics II - Bocage to Bagration
DESCRIPTION:Small Unit Tactics II: Bocage to Bagration – is a one-day Bolt Action Tournament that will be hosted at The House of War in Ringwood\, Melbourne. It’s aimed at beginner and experienced players alike and will have a Battle of Normandy / Operation Bagration theme. Players will play three rounds of two hours and 10 minutes for tournament points\, with key prizes being awarded for the best and worst Allied and Axis players\, the most sporting player and also the player with the best historical force as voted by the players themselves.\nPlayers will assemble 1\,080-point using lists themed around the battles in Normandy and Operation Bagration.  No armoured platoons are permitted. There are a number of other restrictions/tweaks for list building for this event which can be found in full in the player pack\, for example – LMGs for this event will cost only 10 points not 20 while medium and heavy machine guns have discounts applied as well. Lists taken out of specified D-Day and Eastern Front releases will be awarded bonus tournament points\, but those players without Normandy and Bagration based lists are welcome to join us using their nations generic reinforced platoon rules. Please see the player pack for the full details.\nEfforts will be made to keep historical matchups between Allied and Axis players where possible\, but if the difference in tournament points is too high or we have more players of one side than the other then we’ll revert to Swiss-chess pairings.

DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with the local American Center\, “D-Day Ostrava” commemorates the anniversary of the Normandy landings and its heroes. It is a once-a-year opportunity for the whole local Bolt Action community to meet in one place and challenge each other in a friendly atmosphere. Players can bring their own armies\, or borrow an army on site. The game tables are set up with detailed home made terrains created specially for this event\, including a Normandy beach\, a French village and\, for the first time this year\, a town bridge scene inspired by our home town. \n“D-Day Ostrava” is open to the public so that anyone can come learn more about the historical event that inspired it and see what Bolt Action is all about. We are happy to explain the rules of the game and even let the visitors join in with a borrowed army. This year we are also adding a raffle\, the proceeds from which will go to a charity supporting Czech WW2 veterans.

SUMMARY:2024 Bolt Action 80th Anniversary of D-Day Open Play and Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The D-Day 80th Anniversary Event will held by Anarchy Games and Hobbies’ Bolt Action group on June 8th and 9th.  This will be a great opportunity to learn the game of Bolt Action as well as some of Warlord Games other World War 2 strategy games\, such as Blood Red Skies. Sunday June 9th will also provide the opportunity to play in a competitive\, yet friendly tournament with one of South Central Illinois’ biggest Bolt Action communities.  Custom terrain and a variety of themed tables will represent a wide variety of theatres in WW2 to appeal to every WW2 enthusiast.  There will be large a number of prizes provided and will be a great way to meet other Bolt Action players in South Central Illinois and beyond. DESCRIPTION:First of all\, we want to stimulate the local battlefield scene\, integrating the local community and at the same time providing an alternative to tournaments organized in Warsaw.\nThe second reason is the desire to promote Bolt Action (which we in fact consider one of the best battle games) among both members of our association and local players.\nThe idea for the event and the date are not accidental – we want to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the Allied landing in Normandy.
