DESCRIPTION:A two day\, five game Bolt Action Grand Tournament hosted in the heart of the UK at the largest Hobby Games Convention in the country!\nArmies are to be made of 1\,250pts.\nEach game will be 2h:30m in duration. \nThis tournament is unapologetically a competitive event\, and players will be expected to bring their A game and attempt to out-think and outplay their opponents on the day. To not discourage the more casual player\, we tend to find that being up front and admitting that people will be trying to win leads to a more fun & relaxed day. We know what we are all here for after all! This is not an excuse for poor sportsmanship; our #1 rule is showing respect to your opponents and each other. Players will compete on merit & skill rather than underhand techniques to abuse their way to victory. Callous behaviour or unsporting habits (not declaring before rolling\, slow playing etc) is not acceptable and any outright cheating will be a one-way ticket out the door. \nTo further emphasise our style of event\, only small token awards will be given to the top placed players\, as winning is the reward itself. Instead\, all the prizes will be raffled off to random entrants regardless of placement. Therefore\, please do not feel you need to be God’s gift to Bolt Action to attend. You could come\, lose every game\, and still walk away with a smile on your face and a new army box under your arm!

SUMMARY:Fast & Fury III (Tokyo Draft)
DESCRIPTION:Fast & Fury is a fast Paced but friendly 800pt Bolt Action Tournament where only armoured vehicles can be taken. Want a competitive environment where taking that King Tiger or Crocodile is actually competitively viable. Or fancy running a swarm of Armoured cars against big tanks? This is for you. \nFast and Fury was originally developed to allow a competitive tournament of 3 rounds to be achieved in a single evening while allowing Big Cats and Super Heavies to take the field and be competitive but not a must. Now in V3 it is just\, if not more\, relevant and works just as well. Rounds are short (45 minutes) but dice numbers low (Typically 3-5). Armies however can only consist of 1 or 2 Armoured platoons and only Armoured vehicles are allowed. The format is well balanced allowing an army of 2-3 Big tanks\, swarms of Armoured cars or a more balanced mix of mediums all to have their benefits and weaknesses and all can (and in the past have) place well.

SUMMARY:Learn to play Bolt Action at Kublacon
DESCRIPTION:I will be running a Learn to Play Bolt Action version 3 event at one of the largest game\nconventions on the west coast. Kublacon takes place over the Memorial Day weekend\nand features 100’s of games and 1000’s of players from all over the world. My beautifully\ndetailed Normandy village table will be prominently located in the miniatures room and\nwill run from 9am until they kick me out. Everyone is welcome to sit down while I walk\nthem through a description of Bolt Action followed by at least one complete turn of the\ngame. I will also demonstrate how the Bolt Action App works. There will be two loaner\narmies available for any new players who want to try a complete game on one of the two\nadditional tables set up for anyone who wants to drop in for a casual game. Every player\nwho attends will be given a free sprue of Bolt Action miniatures and information on\nupcoming events as well as directions to local hobby stores and vendors that carry\nWarlord Games products.

DESCRIPTION:Valleycon is an annual tabletop gaming event in the Wellington region run by the Hutt Miniature wargaming club. Attracting 160+ gamers to numerous game systems it is one of the lower north Islands biggest events of the year. This will be the 5 year Bolt action is being run and growing in numbers every year. Last year was 1100pts and every army had a free sniper which had a side mission for the event. The year before it was a medic with side missions. \nThis being the First event in New Zealand running V3 I believe I decided just to keep it simple 1000pts with an 18 dice limit on order dice and no duplicate platoon types except for rifle platoons. This year I am working on doing Bolt action Bingo. Each player with have a score card with a 3×3 grid bingo card with different scenario in each box\, For example kill a Officer unit in close combat with your own officer unit\, Or Fail to hit a target at point blank range using all available weapons. The first 3 people to complete a line on the sheet will win a prize.
