All the miniatures are provided along with terrain and we have table bosses that will be happy to introduce you to any of our games so you can try as many as you have time for. \n\nThe game tables will have varying levels of play\, from beginner to advanced\, for Hail Caesar\, Black Powder\, Bolt Action\, and Beyond the Gates of Antares. Additionally there will be tables for Test of Honour\, Terminator: Genisys\, Project Z and Konflikt ’47 and several others we are just waiting for final confirmation on those. No previous knowledge of the rules is needed. Just jump in and start playing. We have also expanded our playing field to include all types of gaming. WE are very excited to be able to present to you the FULL GLORY OF ROME! MIKE GOMEZ is bringing his 28mm FULL SIZE CIRCUS MAXIMUS Chariot racing game\, Walker and crew from ARENA REX will be here for the Gladiatorial Combat angle and of course we will have Hail Caesar tables for you to really immerse yourself into the grand spectacle of the Mighty Empire. You really cannot miss this! We will also have an area for Board Games\, two additional tournaments\, and an open gaming area. We are really filling up the Reed Center\, it is a must see and attend event! \nIf you have a painted army and you would like to display your skills as a tabletop general why not sign up for one of our tournaments! We are running the following tests of your leadership abilities: Bolt Action\, Beyond the Gates of Antares and Test of Honour. We have opened up our gaming area this year to include more games and players. We have added a Saga and Team Yankee tournament to our event. We are also having a painting contest. Prizes will be awarded for the tournaments and for the painting contest. \n\nWe are less than ONE month away from WGC in OKC! Things are rapidly falling into place with vendors and contributors adding to the ever bulging swag bag to be given to the first 100 attendees. Warlord Games\, GAMES AND GEARS\, Geek Nation\, Gaddis Gaming\, Bombshell Miniatures\, Litko Gaming Accessories and Secret Weapon are just a few of the current swag bag/prize supporters/sponsors and more coming on board every day. For vendors we have Whistle Stop (terrain)\, Kernals and Kandies\, Top Deck Games of Tulsa\, Portsmouth Miniatures\, Clawson Games\, ACW representing Cigar Box Battle Mats\, Winged Hussar Publishing and as mentioned Arena REX!! \n\nRegistration for WGC opens at 1:30 p.m. but our first big event kicks at off 5 p.m. on Friday\, 26 May at the 45th Infantry Division Museum.  \n\nThe museum will be open to WGC attendees only\, allowing them to view weapons\, uniforms\, vehicles and other unit memorabilia as well as see what the 45th has accomplished while in service to our nation over the past century. The museum will have representatives on hand to answer any questions about the 45th that attendees might have. \n \nAfter the museum tour we will all head over the Reed Center in Mid West City where registration will open at 7 p.m. so attendees can check in. The first round of the tournaments will begin at 7:30 p.m. and at 8 p.m. the beginner demo tables will start running\, all to be concluded by 10 p.m. \nThe hall reopens at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday\, 27 May\, with round two of the Bolt Action tournament starts at 8 a.m. and all the demo tables will be ready to go. The vendor hall opens at 9 a.m. and round two of the Beyond the Gates of Antares tournament starts as well. Round three of the Bolt Action tournament will start at 10:15 a.m. while round three of the Beyond the Gates of Antares tournament will start at 1 p.m. Both tournaments and awards presentation will be completed after lunch\, which allows plenty of time for the tournament players to be able to try any of the demo tables they would like. The hall will stay open until 11:30 p.m. so everyone will get plenty of gaming time. We are back on Sunday the 28th of May at 8:30 a.m. bright and early with round one of the Test of Honour tournament. There’ll also be a prize for best painted / coolest looking army – and that prize will be the new Antares dice game. So… get practicing/painting if you want to win either of those. All entrants will also receive a very limited edition Antares miniature.\nFORMAT\nEach player will play three games. The three scenarios you will play will be:\n– Reinforce the position (p142 of rule book)\n– Hold the line (p144)\n– Recover at all costs (p146) \nIf you achieve the victory condition in the scenario you will receive 3pts. Achieving a draw is worth 1pt.\nYou will also have three ‘minor objectives’. These will be the same for all the players. Before each game you will have to decide which minor objective you will look to achieve for that game. A minor objective can only be attempted once. By the end of the third game you will therefore have attempted all of your minor objectives. \nA minor objective may be worth 0.5pt\, 1pt\, or 1.5pt. It is up to you do decide how many points a given minor objective is worth. However this points value can also only be used once\, so if in the first game you allocate 1.5pt the minor objective you are looking to achieve\, in the second game you can only choose between 1pt or 0.5pt. If you chose 0.5pt for the second minor objective\, then for the third and final game/minor objective it must be 1pt. This means that if you are skilful enough to complete all your three minor objectives over the three games you will receive an additional 3pts to you overall final score. You will need to note down the minor objective you are looking to achieve\, and points you will allocate to it\, before each game begins. You should probably not tell your opponent which objective you have selected\, but that’s up to you… \nThe three minor objectives are:\n1) ‘Decapitation tactics’ – Kill the enemy commander\n2) ‘Infiltration’ – Move one of your units off the table at the opponent’s edge\n3) ‘Moral duty’ – No more than three of your units are destroyed by the end of the game \nThere will not be any additional points scored for the number of opposing units destroyed (as can happen in other tournaments). However\, we will still keep track of this as if at the end there is a draw on the number of points overall it will then be decided by who has destroyed the most opposing units over the course of the three games. If it’s still a draw\, then it will be head-to-head. If it’s still a draw after than then we’ll toss a coin \nARMIES\nYou army list should be no more than 750pts\, and follow the Force Selection requirements set out in the rule book. You will have to select one infantry model to be your commander. All army lists\, including which model is the nominated commander\, will need to be sent to me at least one week before the tournament\, so by 18th March\, so I can check it. It is\, therefore\, running an intensive training program to learn how to handle such hostile situations and develop more effective tactics. The 2016 show attracted over 1000 visitors and participants. \nThe show consists of a trade fair of around 50+ stands\, 25+ demonstration and participation games. We also have a good military modelling attendance along with various re-enactment groups \nAldersley Leisure Village is a modern venue which caters for numerous sports.  The main hall large allowing good access\, and ensuring a comfortable amount of room for all our visitors on a single level. Disabled access is excellent. There is a baby changing room for our very young visitors! \nParking is free. Hot drinks and snacks are available in the foyer. The licensed bar will also serve food from 11:00am. Please see your show day programme for up to date information on services available. \nWMMS: A Brief History \nThe West Midland Military Modelling Show origins stretch back into the 1970s. Alumwell has been home to wargamers and modellers for considerable time. During the 1970s David Bickley and Phil Robinson steadily built the Show up into one of the Midlands most popular one-day events. From the mid-1980s the baton was passed to Paul Yates and David Jarman who continued to expand the show as its popularity grew. \nThe original Alumwell School venue was no longer suitable and Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton looked a good prospect. So it was with a deep breath that the 2005 Show moved to Aldersley. \nAfter a few years finding its feet\, the event is now firmly established as one of the biggest shows in the West Midlands.  We still have scope to expand and improve the show year on year\, so hopefully 2017 will have new and more varied exhibits\, and more traders for you.
