DESCRIPTION:Alumwell Wargames Society Presents \nWMMS 2015 \nWest Midlands Military Show \nSunday 8th March \nAldersley Leisure Village\nAldersley Rd\nWolverhampton\nWV6 9NW \nDoors Open 10:00am until 4:00pm\n50 Trade Stands\, 25 Demo & Participation Games\nModelling Club Displays\, Living History.\nFree Parking\, Bar & Food\, Bring & Buy.\nAdults £3.00 Children £1.00 Family Ticket £5.00 \n \nThe WMMS is now in its 38th year and is the largest one day show in the midlands area. The 2014 show attracted over 1000 visitors and participants. \nThe show consists of a trade fair of around 50+ stands\, 25+ demonstration and participation games. We also have a good military modelling attendance along with various re-enactment groups \nYou will find a list of traders and demo games etc elsewhere on the site. These will be updated at regular intervals during the new year as late traders are confirmed\, and layout plans are finalised. \nAldersley Leisure Village is a modern venue which caters for numerous sports\, including\, football\, hockey\, athletics\, cycling and small bore rifle shooting. It was also a training facility for the 2012 Olympic Games. \nThe main hall is one of the largest in the Midlands allowing good access\, and ensuring a comfortable amount of room for all our visitors on a single level. Disabled access is excellent. There is a baby changing room for our very young visitors! \nParking is free. Hot drinks and snacks are available in the foyer. The licensed bar will also serve food from 11:00am. Please see your show day programme for up to date information on services available. \nWMMS: A Brief History  \nThe West Midland Military Modelling Show origins stretch back into the 1970s. Alumwell has been home to wargamers and modellers for considerable time. During the 1970s David Bickley and Phil Robinson steadily built the Show up into one of the Midlands most popular one-day events. From the mid-1980s to baton was passed to Paul Yates and David Jarman who continued to expand the show as its popularity grew. \nHowever Alumwell School was becoming more and more run down. Facilities were being withdrawn\, and the parking situation chronic. \nIt became evident that if the show was to continue\, a new venue must be found. \nAldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton looked a good prospect. A large modern venue with better than average facilities\, not too far from the motorway network. So it was with a deep breath that the 2005 Show moved to Aldersley. \nAfter a few years finding its feet\, the event is now firmly established as the biggest one day show in the West Midlands. Total attendance is now over the 1000 mark once again. We still have scope to expand and improve the show year on year. So hopefully 2014 will have new and more varied exhibits\, and more traders for you. \nNext years Show will be on Sunday 8th March 2015

Tanken bag turneringen er at se hvor mange danske bolt action spillere er interesseret i denne type turnering\, samt at samle miljøet på tværs af klubber og vante modstandere. Turneringen vil blive afviklet i en hyggelig og venskabelig ånd\, mens der dog er vid mulighed for at gå til stålet og bevise sine kommandoføringsevner.\nDer spilles 4 spil af 2 1/2 times varighed.\n1000 points\nMan tilmelder sig som allieret eller aksemagt. Man angiver en tidsperiode man ønsker at spille.\nTidlig = 39-43\nSen = 44-45\nMan bliver parret med modstandere af modsatte fraktion og sammetidsperiode. Man kan også angive om man er åben for begge tidsperioder. Forhåbentligt er der også spillere som er fleksible med hensyn til valg af nation så vi kan få det til at gå op i en højere enhed.\nForplejning!\nDer vil være frokost pause hvor der serveres smørrebrød med diverse drikkevarer. Aftensmaden bestiller vi fra den lokale grill\, eller hvor man nu vil have lyst til at forpleje sig fra.\nDer er bar som er åben under hele forløbet\, hvor der forefindes øl sodavand og andet godt. Vi henstiller til at alkohol nydes med måde\, så turneringen kan afvikles på hyggelig og ordnet vis. TOURNAMENT POINTS\nVictory is calculated as described in the Scenarios being played and Tournament points are awarded for victories\, defeats and draws as shown below: \nVictory 3 TP\nDraw 1 TP\nLoss 0 TP \nIn addition\, players must also record how many requisition points of enemy units they destroy during their games. These destroyed enemies points (Casualty points) are always added together in a running total and are used as a tiebreaker to pair players that are on the same level of Tournament Points.\nFrom the second round\, players will be paired using a Swiss system (i.e. matching players on the same amount of TPs\, in descending order). In case of more than two players on the same number of TPs\, players will be matched in descending ‘ Casualty points’ total.\nIf they have the same TP and Casualty points total\, players will be paired in alphabetic order. \nWhen two players that have already met in a previous turn are matched to play each other again\, they must randomly select opponents from the players on the next table down . This rule does not apply on the top five tables during t he last turn of the tournament. \n7 . WINNING THE TOURNAMENT\nThe winner is determined at the end of the last round \, according to the following criteria: \n\nThe player with the most TP will be the winner.\nIn case of same TP at the top\, the winner will be the player with the highest Casualty points total.\nIn case of same Casualty points total\, we’ll see if the players have played each other during the course of the tournament and the winner will be the winner of such match.\nIf the players never met in the tournament\, the tournament ends with a joint victory and the players share the first prize.

DESCRIPTION:On Saturday January 31st  MuGu games will be hosting a Bolt Action tourney\, Doors open @ 10:00 AM and Games start @ 11:00 \n\nMuGu Games is located at\n5233 Evergreen Way\, Everett\, Washington 98203 \n• This will be a three game event FYI if we have an uneven number of players you may receive a bye.\n• The point’s level will be 1250 points. Reinforced Platoon Selectors may be used for any nation. Reinforced Selector lists are limited to two reinforced platoons. You may also take one armored platoon if you choose an armored platoon you may not take a Reinforced platoon. So if you go armored platoon you get one armored platoon and that’s it.\n• You may play army lists out of the main rule book but you may not mix units from army books.\n• PDF’s are welcome! Even if that faction has an army book available.\n• This event will be WYSIWYG WITH IN REASON (WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET) Meaning a model with a flamethrower or any weapon must be modeled so the guy/gal across the table will be able to identify it as such. Exceptions will be granted for certain models and vehicles bring them to the TO. The Idea is to make it so people can make good decisions during play but this is not meant to be crazy if you can make it so the guy/gal across from you can simply recognize what is what.\n• You must bring 3 copies of a legible army list your main rule book\, army book\, Bolt Action order dice\, Dice for game play\, tape measure\, tray for your army and something to mark units with pin markers. A Dice bag will be provided for each table.\n• The entry fee is 20$ with 5$ going to the purchase of terrain for future tourneys\n• Rounds will be two hours and fifteen minutes with a 15 minute pre-game to go over army lists and meet your opponent.\n• After the first game there will be a 30 minute break for lunch!\n• 100% of the entry fee will go to prize support!\n• This will be a BoltAction.net tourney using the Bolt action.net format for scoring and rules.\n• Best Allied\, Axis\, and Minor General Categories.\n• This includes Allied: United States\, The Commonwealth\, Soviet Union. DESCRIPTION:Introducing a new event to the Bolt Action scene – Bolt Action Fez! \nAfter enjoying Bolt action since is was release\, I decided I wanted to run my own Bolt Action event at the Guildford Games Club.\nAs the Tank Battles book is due out in August\, I thought I would do something a little different. Each ‘Bolt Action Fez’ event is a one day mega-battle\, themed around specific historical battles. They are not historical re-enactments\, or competitive events\, but instead a chance to take part in a larger game than most people usually play\, and field vast armies from their collections.\nEver wanted to field a Jagdtiger? How about every T34 you own?\n\nAs such\, I introduce you to Kursk -1945!\n\nSet at an alternative end of the second world war\, the German army has decided to make one last salient out against the approaching red armour\, throwing the weight of their ‘big cats’ against the best the soviets have to offer. As the ground trembles under the weight of the metal behemoths\, only one thing is certain. The next few hours are going to be loud\, brutal and bloody.\n\nPanzer Vor!\n\nWhat: Bolt Action mega tank battle\n\nWhere: Guildford Games Club – Click here for directions\n\nWhen: Sunday 14th December 2014\, 9am set up\, roll dice at 10am\, finishing around 5pm.\n\nWho: Any armoured platoons. Preferably German or Soviet\, however if you only have Americans etc you can still come along and join in!\nAll infantry and artillery platoons must be mechanised/armoured\, however this event is primarily a tank battle.There is no points limit\, rather an honest ‘time’ limit. If you are bringing 50 tanks\, then bring a friend to help move/roll dice and keep the turns moving. Army points totals will be required in order to balance the sides. \nThe game will be played in teams\, all on one massive table (we can go up to 40′ if required). \n\n\nHow much: £10 for the day. DESCRIPTION:BREAKING NEWS\, CHANGE OF VENUE FOR THIS YEAR’S SHOW.  \nThis years event will be held at the LEASOWES LEISURE CENTRE\, Kent Road\, Halesowen\, B62 8PJ\, Sunday 30th November 2014 \n \nWhat’s New? \nBeing an avid Star Wars fan I thought you would all appreciate a picture of the Star Wars participation game I put on at Alumwell show a while back\, I have staged the assault on Hoth game there a number of times\, in different scales\, and run a few assault on the Death star games at a few local shows\, I also dabbled with a Lord of the Rings game (Helms Deep) I love putting a smile on peoples faces\, and although I do not get the chance to put a game on at my own show\, there is enough there on the day\, by way of gamers and traders\, to do the job for me. So come along\, if you have a good time\, tell your friends\, if not come and tell me\, I will be running the bring and buy (best talk to me in the afternoon when it all calms down a bit). Have fun\, talk to lots of people. If you want to play one of my games\, I hope to stage the Battle of Naboo (Droids vs Gungans) at the Alumwell show\, next year.

SUMMARY:Battleground - Stockton-on-Tees
DESCRIPTION:The Battleground show\, established in 2009\, started life as Smoggycon\, and was organised by Stuart Johnston and the Middlesbrough Gamers Club.  From 2013\, Pendraken Miniatures took over the organising of the show\, with the aim to build on the excellent foundations already in place. \nFor 2014\, the show is moving to a new home\, at the Queens Campus Sports Hall\, in Stockton-on-Tees.  This building is part of the Stockton Campus of Durham University\, and provides a modern spacious hall\, able to house a bigger number of games and traders\, as well as offering local attractions and nearby shopping facilities for our visitors. \nOur main aim is to constantly improve the show\, making it into one of the major shows in the north of England.  We hope you’ll come along and join us for a great day out! \nAnd of course Warlord will be there in force so be sure to come and say hello!
