The aim of the event is to encourage growth in the Bolt Action community and some friendly competitive play amongst the players\, so… “Game On!” \nThis event is being run as an official Warlord Nationals event along with other National Bolt Action events. \nTimings\n​The English Nationals will take place over the weekend of 13-14th August 2022\, at the BHGS Britcon Wargames Convention and Trade Show. The venue will be open from mid-afternoon on Friday\, and we will be arranging a fun event for those arriving on Friday and wanting to meet old and new friends and have some fun before battle commences \nVenue\nNottingham City Campus conference and event centre – see here for full details. Game On. \nThis event is being run as an official Warlord Nationals event along with other National Bolt Action events.  \nTickets Here: https://store.warlordgames.com/products/warlord-games-welsh-nationals-2022 \nForce Selection: \nThe rules for force selection which we are adopting this year are designed with a view to putting together armies that are reasonably well balanced in play; the purpose of these force selection rules is to enable players who wish to do so to choose well-matched\, competitive\, and entertaining forces with which to play a challenging game. \nWhen submitting your Army Lists\, please use the template Microsoft Excel form found here: force-submission 2.xlsx \nA force must comprise a maximum of two reinforced platoons with a combined total of no more than 1000 points.  \nEach reinforced platoon is made up as per the table below\, using units picked from the reinforced platoons from the “Armies of” series of books and reinforced platoons from Armies of China in the “Empire in Flames” and the Armies of Australia in the “Campaign New Guinea” book. \nUnits may be chosen from theatre and campaign books as outlined in the FAQ\, these unit entries must state that the unit may be taken in a Generic Reinforced Platoon. \nFor more information\, please refer to the Player Pack.

We have expanded from a handful of events to well over 650 tournaments\, event games\, and hobby seminars covering all aspects of the miniature war gaming hobby. SUMMARY:Battleground Wargames Show
DESCRIPTION:Battleground 2021 is taking place on Saturday 20th November\, at the Queens Campus Sports Hall\, Stockton-on-Tees\, TS17 6BH. \nThe Battleground show\, established in 2009\, started life as Smoggycon\, and was organised by Stuart Johnston and the Middlesbrough Gamers Club.  From 2013\, Pendraken Miniatures took over the organising of the show\, with the aim to build on the excellent foundations already in place. \nFor 2014\, the show moved to a new home\, at the Queens Campus Sports Hall\, in Stockton-on-Tees.  This building is part of the Stockton Campus of Durham University\, and provides a modern spacious hall\, able to house a bigger number of games and traders\, as well as offering local attractions and nearby shopping facilities for our visitors.  The new venue received a very positive response from the visitors. \nOur main aim is to constantly improve the show\, making it into one of the major shows in the north of England.  We hope you’ll come along and join us for a great day out!
