SUMMARY:Battle for Stalingrad!
DESCRIPTION:The Battle for Stalingrad is an immersive\, non competitive 2 day event which will see a total of 20 played scenarios chosen from Warlord Games’ Stalingrad and Case Blue campaign books. These Scenarios will involve steppe fighting before the siege of Stalingrad\, scenarios of the Soviet counteroffensive in the snowy\, frozen Winter of 43 and of course scenarios within the city where Germans and Soviets will fight for every inch on the game board. Iconic fights such as the Concrete Monolith and Pavlov’s house are among a long list of the many bloody battles that will be fought. \nFriuli War Games\, with this event\, is trying to organize a proper “Bolt Action Experience”. where players coming from all over Italy will feel immersed in these historic battles. The main goal if everyone to have as much fun as possible and to feel like they’re on the battle field with the (plastic) troops. With this mentality\, the group is looking to create a one of a kind event in Italy\, and to create a format which can be used for other campaigns in the future. We are working very hard to create the best quality tables and scenarios as possible\, to build a strong community for this more historical way of playing the beautiful game that is Bolt Action.  \nPictures and battle reports will follow the event…With Battle for Stalingrad we will be saying “goodbye V2 and welcome V3” as this event will be played using the V2 rules not having enough time to experiment with the new rules.

It’s a part of a larger historical event (Pola Chwały) which is an\namazing initiative connecting all sorts of people interested in history.\nThere are wargames\, displays and many more. As four our part in it it’s\nprobably one of the largest events in the south of Poland. Our community\nloves the event and always look forward to it.\nWe loved organising it for the past years and will probably hold it next\nyear too. DESCRIPTION:Come help us ring in Version 3 with a Bang!….And a boom….And a rat-tat-tat….With all of the excitement surrounding the release of BA version 3\, Coal Legion Gaming in conjunction with Alchemist’s Cove wants to welcome it in a proper way.  We will be setting a simplified tournament format with lots of different types of terrain tables and pairing up players while going through the scenarios to give everyone a proper full immersion into the new rules.  A variety of players\, tables and lists will help make the goal of everyone leaving with a solid grasp on the new rules so they can continue their adventure down the path of an amazing rule set.  As all of this will be very new and fresh for everyone\, we will not be doing any placements.  Instead anyone who shows up to participate will be entered into a raffle to go home with an item.  We will also have walk up demo tables available for anyone who does not have the game but is interested in giving it a try.  We will have several club members on hand to help answer any questions and help anyone who’s interested get started with a force that’s right for them.

DESCRIPTION:Basic Rules \nHave Fun! \n·         All Judges rulings are final\, let’s keep things moving. \n·         Make 3 copies of your army list and provide 1 to tournament director and 1 to your opponent at game time. \n·         Army lists are due to the Tournament Organizer 48 hours before the event. \n·         Review both lists and answer questions. \n·         TO will discuss Scenery before starting play.  \n·         All Tables will have a list of terrain types on a table card \nGeneral Tournament Rules \nEntry Fee $20 \n750 points. No dice cap.       Please provide a vehicle stat card for every vehicle\, if not preprinted please make a neat legible card off of 3×5 index or custom printed.  \nTournament Timeline \nTournament will be 3 rounds with points accrued each round. \nRounds will be 2.25 hours with fifteen minutes between rounds and a 45 minute lunch break. \n10:30AM-1PM Round 1 \n1PM -1:45PM Lunch \n2PM – 4:30 Round 2 \n4:45 – 7:15 Round 3 \nTerrain Notes \nBocage \nImpassable to vehicles without hedgerow cutters.  Only passable to infantry. \nWater \nCreeks count as rough ground.  Larger rivers can only be crossed at fords and bridges.  Swamp requires a stuck die roll for vehicles.  They are stuck on a 1D6 roll of 5-6.  Swamp slows infantry to ½ of advance speed. \nStructures \nA building must be intact to count as a building.  Ruins count as heavy cover and rough ground.  Tall ruins block line of sight.   Remember ruins are area terrain like tree clusters.  No HE against the Church! \nCraters \nCount as rough ground.  Impassible to wheeled vehicles and tracked may only advance. \nDesert \nSteep Slopes can only by crossed by infantry at advance speed. \nTable 1 Destroyed Village. SUMMARY:Kursk\, the Battle for Prokhorovka
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to mount up and roll out in the Generals Outpost’s most ambitious Bolt Action Big Battle / Tournament yet.\nTake part in a giant Kursk themed battle involving tank platoons and infantry divisions based upon the German offensive at Kursk (Operation Citadel). \nOne Huge table (11′ x 7′)\, two dice bags a whole day of fun\, with the Russians trying to stop the German Blitzkrieg at Prokhorovka. \nUnlike traditional tournaments where each player plays multiple opponents throughout the day we have arranged for the following (as each side will be working together as a team): Trophies for the top Axis and Allied commanders who wreck the most damage on the day as well as our famous “most cinematic action” trophy. We also have prizes for the top four players and the “most cinematic action” winner (These will be based on “Early War” which fits our coming battles for 2025). \n2nd Edition Rules. The last event at our club to use them before we transition to 3rd Edition.\nModels can be provided if you do not have any which match this period. \nEntry is FREE for members – £10 for non members \n6 German players confirmed\, each with 1250pt armoured infantry armies (the tables are big\, they need the transport) & 8 Russian players each with 1000pt armies. \nAs of 15/08/24 we have 2 places left (1 German & 1 Russian). \nThere is even a side game of Achtung Panzer tracking the main Bolt Action as German Panthers try to outflank the Russians.

SUMMARY:Where sEagles Dare
DESCRIPTION:Where sEagles Dare is a Bolt Action Tank War competition\, where each player is allowed up to 1500 points to field one tank platoon of no more than 12 dice.  It gives our player community throughout Scotland a chance to play in a Scottish League Championship tournie using their big stuff.  The normal mix seems to be German/British/Russian with a smattering of USA and the occasional madness of a Japanese Tank Platoon\, and the real crazy ones fielding Italian or French platoons.  We stick some other rules in of course\, like “No Neddies”   A horse free zone\, this is after all armoured and mechanised warfare.   We are a bit cruel to infantry too\, so unless the infantry unit has a starting strength of five or more models\, it cannot claim or contest an objective.  After all a two man (artillery spotter and his mate) in a jeep are hardly going to be fit to take on a big nasty panzer.    This year we have also organised the tournie so that each player can use a Tank Ace skill in each game. Each skill being randomly drawn from a big bag of  3d printed tank ace skills.  That should liven things up a bit.   We hope to make this our biggest event yet because as far as we know\, we will be hosting the last Bolt Action v2 event in Scotland.  We know its mid October but Tom and I are slow readers (haha) so we felt that we should stick with v2 as we could not adequately plan for v3.    That said\, with the knowledge that there is going to be a points price drop in armour……..next year could see us do something really big.

With 1250 points for armor you can bring a massive German King Tiger to a medium size M4 Sherman and even a small Italian M13/40. With different mats to play on your tanks will be in the desert of Africa to the snow of the eastern front. And the lush land of France.

DESCRIPTION:Greetings and welcome to our Grognards Bolt Action Demo Day! We’ll be hosting a day full\nof introductory demos and skirmish games for both new and returning players alike\, all to get an\nunderstanding of the new 3rd edition and form a community of like-minded players excited to\nget out and play one of the most approachable WW2 miniature games out there! Demo tables\nfor quick introductory games to the rules as well as entire skirmish-sized forces if you want to\ngive full games a try will be available for newcomers to use\, so don’t fret if you don’t have any\nmodels or game knowledge yet – this day is here to show you the ropes and get you aboard!\n–\n– For the demo portion of the day we’ll have people on hand to give you an introduction to\nthe basic game mechanics and concepts over a small infantry engagement. Concepts like orders\,\nmovement\, attacking\, and pinning – all core parts of the game that you’ll be shown in an easy to\nlearn way!\n–\n– For the core of the day we’ll be having sets of paired learning skirmish games where you can\nlearn and familiarize yourself with more game rules like weapon teams and vehicles\, and go\ndeeper into the nuances of the rules introduced in the demos. Plus we’ll have some fun\nachievements you can strive for during the event itself for your shot at prizes!\n– \n–  If you already have a force built this’ll be a great way to get some games in and learn the new\nedition while meeting like minded locals for future games\, but if you don’t have any models or\nfamiliarity with the game yet we will have skirmish forces on hand you’ll be able to use to learn\nand play! You can even join the event after trying the demos if you find yourself liking it (so long\nas we haven’t run out of armies yet!)\n–\n– The Structure of the Skirmish Games is as follows:\n– The day starts at 11am\, you’ll be paired into an opponent as soon as someone is available!
