It offers an excellent opportunity to browse a massive range of manufacturers products up close and personal. You can speak to the traders face to face\, handle the miniatures before you decide to buy and there are bound to be some show deasl. \nAround the main hall\, you will find demonstration games created by clubs and traders which add flavour and colour to the show\, you can chat with the organisers of the games at your leisure\, you will find them enthusiastic about the building of the terrain\, the collecting of the figures and the story behind the game. Some games are participation and offer a chance to join in and have some fun\, kids especially love to get involved in the participation aspect to demonstration games. \nThe venue is a large sports centre with plenty of easy parking for the car owner\, but if you are travelling by public transport the Centre is opposite a main line train station and bus stop. \nGood lighting offers a detailed look at the products on show. \nFood will be available from Vending machines and an outside catering Van. \n

All the miniatures are provided along with terrain and we have table bosses that will be happy to introduce you to any of our games so you can try as many as you have time for. \n\nThe game tables will have varying levels of play\, from beginner to advanced\, for Hail Caesar\, Black Powder\, Bolt Action\, and Beyond the Gates of Antares. Additionally there will be tables for Test of Honour\, Terminator: Genisys\, Project Z and Konflikt ’47 and several others we are just waiting for final confirmation on those. No previous knowledge of the rules is needed. Just jump in and start playing. We have also expanded our playing field to include all types of gaming. WE are very excited to be able to present to you the FULL GLORY OF ROME! MIKE GOMEZ is bringing his 28mm FULL SIZE CIRCUS MAXIMUS Chariot racing game\, Walker and crew from ARENA REX will be here for the Gladiatorial Combat angle and of course we will have Hail Caesar tables for you to really immerse yourself into the grand spectacle of the Mighty Empire. You really cannot miss this! We will also have an area for Board Games\, two additional tournaments\, and an open gaming area. We are really filling up the Reed Center\, it is a must see and attend event! \nIf you have a painted army and you would like to display your skills as a tabletop general why not sign up for one of our tournaments! We are running the following tests of your leadership abilities: Bolt Action\, Beyond the Gates of Antares and Test of Honour. We have opened up our gaming area this year to include more games and players. We have added a Saga and Team Yankee tournament to our event. We are also having a painting contest. Prizes will be awarded for the tournaments and for the painting contest. \n\nWe are less than ONE month away from WGC in OKC! Things are rapidly falling into place with vendors and contributors adding to the ever bulging swag bag to be given to the first 100 attendees. The museum will have representatives on hand to answer any questions about the 45th that attendees might have. \n \nAfter the museum tour we will all head over the Reed Center in Mid West City where registration will open at 7 p.m. so attendees can check in. The first round of the tournaments will begin at 7:30 p.m. and at 8 p.m. the beginner demo tables will start running\, all to be concluded by 10 p.m. \nThe hall reopens at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday\, 27 May\, with round two of the Bolt Action tournament starts at 8 a.m. and all the demo tables will be ready to go. The vendor hall opens at 9 a.m. and round two of the Beyond the Gates of Antares tournament starts as well. Round three of the Bolt Action tournament will start at 10:15 a.m. while round three of the Beyond the Gates of Antares tournament will start at 1 p.m. Both tournaments and awards presentation will be completed after lunch\, which allows plenty of time for the tournament players to be able to try any of the demo tables they would like. The hall will stay open until 11:30 p.m. so everyone will get plenty of gaming time. We are back on Sunday the 28th of May at 8:30 a.m. bright and early with round one of the Test of Honour tournament. The 2016 show attracted over 1000 visitors and participants. \nThe show consists of a trade fair of around 50+ stands\, 25+ demonstration and participation games. We also have a good military modelling attendance along with various re-enactment groups \nAldersley Leisure Village is a modern venue which caters for numerous sports.  The main hall large allowing good access\, and ensuring a comfortable amount of room for all our visitors on a single level. Disabled access is excellent. There is a baby changing room for our very young visitors! \nParking is free. Hot drinks and snacks are available in the foyer. The licensed bar will also serve food from 11:00am. Please see your show day programme for up to date information on services available. \nWMMS: A Brief History \nThe West Midland Military Modelling Show origins stretch back into the 1970s. Alumwell has been home to wargamers and modellers for considerable time. During the 1970s David Bickley and Phil Robinson steadily built the Show up into one of the Midlands most popular one-day events. From the mid-1980s the baton was passed to Paul Yates and David Jarman who continued to expand the show as its popularity grew. \nThe original Alumwell School venue was no longer suitable and Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton looked a good prospect. So it was with a deep breath that the 2005 Show moved to Aldersley. \nAfter a few years finding its feet\, the event is now firmly established as one of the biggest shows in the West Midlands.  We still have scope to expand and improve the show year on year\, so hopefully 2017 will have new and more varied exhibits\, and more traders for you.

Obviously the Warlord Games Retail store on site will be open for business too as we launch the Battle of the Bulge releases on the day!\nThere will be a great selection of hobby items to purchase\, and some great offers.
