The school has built a new toilet for wheelchair users next to the main hall so no more having to struggle with the staff facilities. Things are just getting better. \nDevizes School is conveniently located near to the town centre. There are cash machines\, public houses and shops just a short walk from the school and there is also the benefit of free on-site parking (available on a first come basis).

DESCRIPTION:Shrapnel 2018 Tournament Guidelines. \nSunday 13th May\, 9.00AM \nWelcome to the second year of Shrapnel\, it has grown this year to 22 players\, so thank you for signing up. Lost Ark Landsers Bolt Action group are a friendly bunch of people and new players are always made welcome. \nArmies \nBuild a 1000pt list using either 1 or 2 Reinforced Platoons. There are no Tank Platoons in this event. \nWe would like to ensure that Shrapnel is enjoyed by all players\, therefore we would like the Armies selected to follow a theme or be historically correct for the year. To do this either use your army book and choose those units that were available to your chosen nation\, or use a particular theatre selector. Your army book gives dates and theatre selectors which will give you a list of those units available. \nYou can also use campaign books to select your forces\, however there are some dodgy lists in these\, for example the Soviet Stalingrad\, and some Japanese selectors come to mind\, 4 snipers or 4 heavy howitzers is not very friendly. We all like to win\, but when you have made your list ask your self would I like to play against this army. Just because you can\, doesn?t mean you should. \nMarket Garden: \nIf you wish to bring a British Para list from Market Garden\, all units selected must be brought as veterans where the option exists. You must also add 1 pt per model to make them stubborn. \nXXX Corp is a Tank Platoon for the purposes of this event. \nOdds n sods \nBrandenburgers must be off the table for their redirection rules to apply. \nIn the worse case scenario the Tournament Organiser has the right to ask you to change your list to fit the ethos of the Stevenage Landsers. \nYou must bring your army book and any book\, or a hard copy of an official Warlord games pdf. where your theatre list is included\, this allows your opponent to be able to read any special rules that apply. \nArmy list where possible should be made on http://boltaction.easyarmy.com/ it helps with the checking. However its not 100% correct so please check it against your army book\, or theatre selector. \nPlease feel free to contact Ken on the below email to discuss your army list. \nPlease email your list to Kennomeat@gmail.com by the 23rd April \nGames \nThere will be 3 games of 2 hours 15 mins\, the scenarios to be used will be disclosed on the day of the event\, so choose you armies carefully. These are likely to be from the 2nd rule book but with minor tweaks. \nItalians \nThis army usually plays without access to the majority of its national rules\, therefore in this tournament at the beginning of any game where the scenario does not have an attacker/defender both players will roll to see if they are either attacking or defending. Roll a d6 highest roll gets to choose. If the Italian player loses they get to re roll as per Italian national rule. \nHow to win \nBattle points will be awarded for a win\, draw\, and loss. Win = 5pts\, draw = 3pts\, loss = 1pt. \nSecondary objectives: In every game there will be an option to grab another battle point\, make sure you keep it in your sights. \nIn the event of more than 1 player having the highest number of Battle Points\, the difference between units killed and units lost will be the deciding factor. \nTerrain \nAll tables will be pre-set on the day\, please do not move any of the terrain. Ruins will be classed as dense terrain as described in the rule book. As there is always a mix of hedges and walls which causes confusion over cover\, treat all such pieces as being chest high on an upright model. This should also help with cover claimed by vehicles. Bocage is slightly different and is over head height\, it blocks line of sight until 1? away. \nCover \nMany people are hazy on what cover you get from certain classes of terrain and when it applies. Two main ones are firing in\, from\, or into cover\, and what happens when you are up against cover. In the first instance cover will apply if you are more than 1 inch apart from your target\, or are more than 1 inch from the edge of the terrain and firing out. In the second case if both units are up against a wall neither will get cover. This is the same for buildings as it can be assumed grenades and bullets are being launched in through windows and doors\, defenders will get the +1 to the roll required to kill still. \nIn all other cases discuss what each piece of terrain does at the beginning of the game. \nIf you are unable to attend then please let us know as early as possible in order to allocate your place to somebody on the reserve list. \nSpectators are more than welcome to attend and view proceedings but please be aware that this a timed round Tournament and respect the concentration of the players. \nRegistration: 09.00 \nBriefing: 09.15 \n1st Game: 09.30 – 11.45 \nLunch: 12.00 – 12.30 \n2nd Game: 12.45 – 15.00 \n3rd Game: 15.15 – 17.30 \nPresentations: 18.00 \nPurchase of a ticket reserves you a place\, no physical ticket will be sent out. \nThis event is currently sold out. DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n  \nThe West Midland Military Show  \nThe WMMS is now in its 42nd year and is one of the largest one day shows in the midlands area\, attracting over 1000 visitors and participants. \nThe show consists of a trade fair of around 50+ stands\, 25+ demonstration and participation games. We also have a good military modelling attendance along with various re-enactment groups \nAldersley Leisure Village is a modern venue which caters for numerous sports\, including\, football\, hockey\, athletics\, cycling and small bore rifle shooting. It was also a training facility for the 2012 Olympic Games. \nThe main hall is one of the largest in the Midlands allowing good access\, and ensuring a comfortable amount of room for all our visitors on a single level. Disabled access is excellent. There is a baby changing room for our very young visitors! \nParking is free. Hot drinks and snacks are available in the foyer. DESCRIPTION:TORNEO OFICIAL DE BOLT ACTION\, A NIVEL NACIONAL. \nINFORMACIÓN GENERAL\nFecha: sábado 30 de septiembre de 2017\nLugar: Local de la Asociación Séptimo grado. Calle San Antonio de la Florida\, 3. Barrio de La Fortuna\, Leganés (Madrid)\nOrganiza: Asociación Séptimo Grado. \n\n\n\n\nBASES DEL TORNEO:\n\nEscala: Se jugara con ejércitos con miniaturas de 28 mm. Todas las miniaturas deben representar correctamente el tipo de tropa y armas que se les asigne. Se usará la regla Lo que hay es lo que ves. En caso de duda de medición\, o tamaño de bases\, la organización se reserva el derecho de vetar la miniatura. \n\n\n\nLISTAS:\n\nSe usarán las listas temáticas de los Libros de ejército con un máximo de 1000 puntos\, pero con las restricciones del pelotón  genérico (es decir\, un peloton aleman de Normandía no podria llevar 2 MMG) no pudiendo sobrepasarse esta cantidad. Máximo 2 pelotones reforzados. No se podrán usar listas del libro de reglas. Se usarán las reglas de la v2 oficiales. Además como mucho se podrán usar 12 dados de órdenes por turno\, por lo tanto en caso de tener más unidades en el ejército\, solo se podrán activar 12. Deberán enviarse para su revisión antes del 5 de Septiembre al correo jorgebarbanchoancho@gmail.com \n\n\n\nESCENOGRAFÍA: \n\nSerá fija e inamovible. Se jugará en mesas de 180×120 cm. \n\nRONDAS: \n\nSe jugarán tres rondas\, en las que se evitará siempre que se pueda el cruce entre jugadores del mismo club. El primer emparejamiento será aleatorio. El segundo y el tercer emparejamiento se realizarán por sistema suizo. Los emparejamientos se harán entre el grupo del Eje contra el grupo de aliados. \n\n\nHORARIOS: El siguiente horario es aproximado y podrá sufrir modificaciones: \n\n9:00 Recepción de Participantes\n9:30 – 12:30 Primera Ronda\n12:45 – 15:45 Segunda Ronda\n16:00 – 19:00 Tercera Ronda\n\n19:15 Entrega de premios \n\nTURNOS DE JUEGO. \n\nCada partida tendrá los turnos que marque el escenario. Además\, las partidas tendrán una duración máxima de 3 horas. Una vez terminado este tiempo la partida se dará por finalizada y se chequearán las condiciones de victoria. Quince minutos antes del fin de partida se avisará de ello. \n\nESCENARIOS\n\nEl escenario en cada ronda se determinará aleatoriamente para todos los jugadores (esto es\, todos jugarán el mismo escenario). \n\nNÚMERO MÁXIMO DE PARTICIPANTES: \n\n12 Jugadores del Eje y 12 jugadores Aliados. Una vez superada esta cifra se pasara a estar en reservas. Solo se reservará plaza al que haya formalizado la inscripción monetaria. \n\nCUOTA DE INSCRIPCIÓN: \n\n20 euros. La comida será de durante el torneo y está incluido en la inscripción. Se abonarán mediante transferencia en un número de cuenta que se indicará tras validar la inscripción y lista de ejército enviada. El hecho de pagar la inscripción implica la aceptación de estas bases en su totalidad. La fecha límite para hacer la inscripción será el 22 de septiembre. \n\nPUNTUACIÓN: \nVictoria 3 PV\nEmpate 1 PV\nDerrota 0 PV\n\nEjercito completamente pintado 1 PV \n\n\n– EJERCITO COMPLETAMENTE PINTADO. Para optar a este punto de victoria\, un ejército deberá estar completamente pintado y con las bases decoradas. Quedará a criterio de la organización el decir si un ejército cumple los requisitos. \n\nPREMIOS\n\nOptarán a premio: \n\nEl mejor jugador.\nEl mejor Jugador del Eje (que no sea el mejor jugador total)\nEl mejor Jugador Aliado (que no sea el mejor jugador total)\n\nEl mejor ejercito pintado y tematizado (para optar a este premio\, las miniaturas deberán corresponder al periodo que representa\, con un pintado correcto) \n\nMATERIAL:\n\nLa organización dispondrá de escenografía y tapetes de juego para la celebración del torneo. Además los jugadores deberán disponer de suficientes reglas de medida\, marcadores y hojas de consulta rápida para resolver la partida de forma pulcra y ágil. \n\nCOMIDA\n\nSe desarrollará durante el desarrollo del torneo.
