DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Beachhead 2025 Bolt Action tournament! \nIn 2024 we made our last stands on the tabletop to see who had the mettle to carry the day! On February 8th and 9th we will again be hitting the table to see who emerges victorious over five games – this time following the Bolt Action version three rule set! \nAs is tradition at Beachhead\, we have a theme (although this is not compulsory) and this year it is… Against All Odds! \nWe will be looking for armies who went into battle outnumbered or out gunned who\, win or lose\, fought against all odds. This could be based off a small engagement such as the Belgium defence of the K-W line in May 1940\, or something much larger like the massed forces of the Wehrmacht at Kursk in the summer of 1943. \nAs usual your armies do not have to follow this theme\, but they will not be entered for the ‘Best Themed’ award. For those who are following the theme\, please let us know when you submit your list and\, if you have any write ups or sources that complement your army choices\, please do send them in as we are always interested in reading the history behind the armies that turn up on the tabletop. \n😎

SUMMARY:World Open War by SSWG
DESCRIPTION:World Open War is SSWG’s new international Bolt Action tournament. It is a team-based event\, with teams of three players and is competitively focused. The tourney is played over two days at our club house on pre-prepared tables which will all differ. Teams will play a total of six rounds.    \nTeam’s will be drawn into groups of four on day one and then again in groups of four based on their ranking after day one. The winner of the Finalists group on day two will be declared the World Open War Champion. Other groups on day two will also be playing for trophies and so no matter what your day one performance\, you will compete for a trophy on day 2. \nEach team will consist of three players and contain one captain but teams are welcome to bring non playing members (such as reps or reserves) to the event. \nThe team players will use different national armies\, for example a team could not include two German army lists. \nArmies will be a single generic platoon\, tank platoons are banned; these will total 1100 points maximum with a limit of no more than 24 order dice. \nIn partnership with Warlord Games\, this is going to be an absolute festival of competitive Bolt Action – some of the best players in the world will be in attendance\, and the action is sure to be fast-paced!

You can collect your preorder at the show if you want to avoid waiting for the postman to deliver.
