There is a fully licensed bar and seating area and it’s own catering facilities\, which will be serving a variety of reasonably priced hot and cold food throughout the day – enjoy a meal and may me a drink from the bar and socialise with fellow gamers. \nAnd The George Stephenson Exhibition Hall \n \nThe George Stephenson Exhibition Hall offers a welcoming environment with plenty of space with natural light in which you can play games\, shop for wargame goodies from a selection of top traders positioned around the perimeter of the hall. The visitor participation games are all located in the central area of the exhibition hall. It has its own catering facilities\, which will be serving a variety of reasonably priced hot and cold food throughout the day. \nCar Parking Area \nThe car parking is plentiful and free and is located between the Gamers Lounge and the George Stephenson Exhibition Hall. \n \nThe Newark Showground is only a few minutes from the A1. DESCRIPTION:  \n \nThe West Midlands Military Show \nSunday 12th March \nAt \nAldersley Leisure Village\nAldersley Rd\nWolverhampton\nWV6 9NW \nDoors Open 10:00am until 4:00pm\n50 Trade Stands\, 25 Demo & Participation Games\nModelling Club Displays\, Living History.\nFree Parking\, Bar & Food\, Bring & Buy.\nAdults £3.00 Children £1.00 Family Ticket £5.00 \nThe WMMS is now in its 41st year and is one of the largest shows in the midlands area. The 2016 show attracted over 1000 visitors and participants. \nThe show consists of a trade fair of around 50+ stands\, 25+ demonstration and participation games. We also have a good military modelling attendance along with various re-enactment groups \nAldersley Leisure Village is a modern venue which caters for numerous sports.  The main hall large allowing good access\, and ensuring a comfortable amount of room for all our visitors on a single level. Disabled access is excellent. There is a baby changing room for our very young visitors! \nParking is free. Hot drinks and snacks are available in the foyer. The licensed bar will also serve food from 11:00am. Please see your show day programme for up to date information on services available. \nWMMS: A Brief History \nThe West Midland Military Modelling Show origins stretch back into the 1970s. Alumwell has been home to wargamers and modellers for considerable time. During the 1970s David Bickley and Phil Robinson steadily built the Show up into one of the Midlands most popular one-day events. From the mid-1980s the baton was passed to Paul Yates and David Jarman who continued to expand the show as its popularity grew. \nThe original Alumwell School venue was no longer suitable and Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton looked a good prospect. So it was with a deep breath that the 2005 Show moved to Aldersley. \nAfter a few years finding its feet\, the event is now firmly established as one of the biggest shows in the West Midlands.  We still have scope to expand and improve the show year on year\, so hopefully 2017 will have new and more varied exhibits\, and more traders for you.

DESCRIPTION:A ‘Beyond the Gates of Antares’ learning event for newcomers to Antares on 18th March 2017. \n \nBoscombe Down and Amesbury Wargames Club has joined with the Gate Builders to present an Antares learning day. The day aims to provide newcomers to Antares an opportunity to learn the game through play\, with experienced players on hand to answer questions and acts as informed opponents. Throughout the day we’ll have a weighted faction league table to show the progress of those factions taking part. There will also be handouts and a free prize draw for registered attendees\, with Antares prizes donated by Warlord Games and Sarissa Precision. \n+++++ IMTel Alert: Combined Command Shard only +++++\nThe IMTel has determined that the existence of systems containing hostile nanospore are a dire threats to its existence. It is\, therefore\, running an intensive training program to learn how to handle such hostile situations and develop more effective tactics. Individual Combined Command platoons are invited to immerse themselves within a virtual environment and take on the roles of many of the Concord’s more regular opponents. \nTo acquire more data\, contact your local IMTel shard.\n+++++ End Alert +++++ \nDate/Time/Place: Registration from 9.30am at the Nicolson Centre\, Stockport Road\, Boscombe Down\, Amesbury\, SP4 7LN. Games start is 10am sharp and we expect to finish by 6pm at the latest. This is a monthly club day\, too\, so expect other games to be going on around you! \nPoints: 500 and 750 points. Do send in two lists\, if you have them\, but a 500 point force on its own is perfectly fine. The list should have no characters\, no leader upgrades\, and no artefacts.
