DESCRIPTION:“In the fall of 1939\, war broke out all over Europe. It is time for you to step up and claim a side. Will you bring honour and victory to your country? Or perish ingloriously on the battlefield\, your name nothing more than a bloody smear in the annals of history… \nThis tournament is a thematic\, beginner friendly tournament with a focus on historically accurate armies. This means that while new players can create an army with as little as the contents of a starting army\, veteran players will finally have the chance to put their little used\, but oh-so-cool\, tanks and teams on the table. Over three 1000 point games the Allied players will fight the Axis players to determine the course of the first 2 years of world war 2. The goal of the day for each player is to have a great time in a relaxed atmosphere and making new friends in the Bolt Action community.” \nTo summarize\, I think there are a lot of (new) players who want to play a friendly tournament where the focus is not on bringing the best possible list\, but on historical and thematic gaming. In 3 days I had over 20 people who registered and paid. There are people from the Netherlands\, Germany and even Denmark who will take the long trip for a single day event . (Although the clubhouse is open on Saturday for a welcome drink)

Throughout the day\, players will battle on thematic tables set inside and outside the bunker\, combining strategy\, storytelling\, and an atmosphere impossible to replicate in any other tournament. \nIn addition\, a wargaming model painting competition will be held on Saturday\, where the best miniatures will be awarded based on paintwork\, historical detail\, and thematic presentation. \nTo complete the experience\, on Sunday we’ll offer a guided cultural tour through real historical sites related to the Spanish Civil War across the Valle de Los Pedroches. DESCRIPTION:Hello Wargamers! Welcome to the rules pack for Operation Mincemeat 2025. A 2 day Bolt Action Tournament based on the outskirts of Nottingham\, UK on the 29th and 30th of November 2025 hosted by the Leicester Juggernauts Wargaming Club in collaboration with 7th City Collectables.\nThis event is unapologetically a competitive event\, and players will be expected to bring their A-game and attempt to out-think and outplay their opponents on the day. To not discourage the more casual player\, we tend to find that being up front and admitting that people will be trying to win leads to a more fun and relaxed day. We know what we are all here for afterall!\nThis is not an excuse for poor sportsmanship; our #1 rule is showing respect to your opponents and each other. Players will compete on merit and skill rather than underhand techniques to abuse their way to victory. Callous behaviour or unsporting habits (not declaring before rolling\, slow playing etc) is not acceptable and any outright cheating will be a one way ticket out the door.\nTo further emphasise our style of event\, only small token awards will be given to the top placed players\, as winning is the reward itself. Instead all of the prizes will be raffled off to random entrants regardless of placement. Therefore please do not feel you need to be god’s gift to Bolt Action to attend. DESCRIPTION:To fight for prizes\, promote the game and venue\, and to\nhave FUN! The event is themed from 16 DEC ’44 – 16 JAN ’45 and based on the Battle of\nthe Bulge. The Allies have pushed the Germans from France. Hitler thinks that one mighty\npush to Antwerp will divide the British and American forces in two which will force them to\nsue for peace. Will the German commanders accomplish the Führer’s bidding\, or will the\nAllied commanders stand in the Wehrmacht’s way to stop them cold? OBJECTIVE\nANTWERP! is a Battle of the Bulge scenario event for pairs to fight as Allies or Axis.\nThere will be up to 6 tables for the 24 Commanders to battle on that will cover\ngeography of the Ardennes. This will be a 2 round (rd) event and what happens in rd 1 will\ninfluence the tables in rd 2. There will be 1 person from each side designated as an overall\ncommander (CDR) by the Game Master (GM). That CDR will assign teams to a specific\ntable & determine which bonuses get applied to which table in the 2d RD (1 bonus max per\ntable side).\nEach table in the 1st round (rd) will contain a bonus. The side that wins a 1st rd table\nwill get that bonus for the 2d rd (to be applied on whatever table the CDR sees fit up to 1\nbonus per table). For example\, table 1 has an “extra artillery barrage” bonus. Table 1 is won\nby the allied team. The Allied CDR can add “extra artillery barrage” to any table he wants to\nin the 2d rd (no other Allied bonus can be added to that 2d rd table). In the 1st rd\, the Axis\nteam won table 2\, which has “adds 1 tank to the force pool” for the 2d rd. The Axis CDR gets\nto add that tank to any table he wants to in the 2nd rd.\nCommanders will have to fight in cities\, railyards\, forests\, and pastures with\nfarmhouses. The event serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made during the attack and the subsequent war. On Dec 8th\, 1941\, the US declared war on Japan\, with Germany declaring war on the US on Dec 11th\, although the first major land battles for the US did not occur until 1942. War was still raging between the British Commonwealth against Germany and Italy in North Africa\, Mediterranean and Middle East\, Germany invading Russia in Operation Barbarossa\, and Japan expanding in East Asia and Pacific. \nThis thematic tournament will be set in the mid war era\, with tables set up to represent various themes and battles during the mid-war timeframe (1942-1943). This event is meant to be casual and fun for all involved\, be it a newer player or experienced. For a grand total of 10 available battlefields we praise historical fidelity and the majority of the scenery is homemade by us. Prepare to fight with an historically accurate Opponent (for example North Africa Italians vs the British 8 army) in the jungle of the far east islands\, the desert of North Africa\, the beautiful landscape of Italy\, the French countryside and from the Russian Steppes to enormous industrial cities. As I mentioned we praise historical fidelity\, in fact other than the podium we have a special price for best painted and thematic army\, lately plenty of players including myself prepare short PDF explaining the battle of the army they are bringing.
