SUMMARY:Veterans Wargames Association Championships
DESCRIPTION:The Veterans Wargames Association (VWA) Championships is an annual event where a large group of folks associated with the UK Armed Forces – serving personnel from all three services\, veterans\, civil servants and civilians who simply appreciate being part of a closeknit community – get together and play a friendly competition ranging from ancient warfare to far future combat. The VWA was formerly known as The RAF Wargames Association and has been in existence since the mid-1980’s. The group’s members had become so diverse (mainly due to retirement and the ever-decreasing size of the UK military) that a couple of years ago it was decided to change its name to encompass the more wide-ranging mix of its current membership! A small group of us have been running a Bolt Action (Second Edition) competition for the last few years and are especially excited to try out the new\, Third Edition of Bolt Action!

Nearly having\ndoubled the number of participants that it had in the previous edition\,\nit unites mainly players from Mid-Northern Spain\, from west coast to\neast coast. It comes in a really crucial time when local communities are\nhaving interest in other WWII based miniature games. Thus making this\nkind of tournament even more important to build up and strengthen the\nBolt Action Community. \nLocal companies are supporting this event with big efforts to make this\ntournament shine and will definitely be the most important tournament of\nthe first half of the year. Every participant will recieve a welcome\npack with really useful and charismatic contents. A half morning break\nis organised for having a bite and beverage between games. Also a lunch\nwill be prepared for all the participants. The gaming club where the\ntournament is held has beverages for the participants in case they what\nto drink anything during the tournament. \nWe understand that aesthetics play a big part in wargaming and the\nexperience of playing in superbly detailed tables is something every\nparticipant deserves. That is why we have asked all local clubs and\nshops to handle their best tables for this tournament. This will make\nthe tournament unique in every aspect. \nEvery hobbyist will have its place\, not just those that focus on the\ngaming side of the hobby. There will be prizes for best painted and\ncharacterized armies and lots of surprises during the game. \nWe think those are more than enough reasons for anyone not just in Spain\nbut even in Albion to come here and play\, but in case that is not enough\nit would make no harm remembering the exquisite local cuisine and\nhistorical sites that can be visited\, making the tournament just the\n“cherry on the pie” of a perfect weekend.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the first Swedish Nationals of Bolt Action! \nAll Swedish Bolt Action communitis from Stockholm to Gothenburg and Malmo have come together to create a national championship for our favourite game! The venue couldn’t be more fitting – The Army Museum right in the middle of Stockholm with a great exhibition including a floor with uniforms\, weaponry and equipment from World War 2. A great place to research your next paint scheme! \nIf you are a beginner you are more than welcome to join the tournament. There will be open nights at the museum on March 11th\, 18th and 25th where you can try out the game\, learn some basic rules and even start painting your own force! Put your own newly painted mini into the amazing landscapes created by the museum and the players themselves and see how it does on the battlefield. \nSwedish Nationals will be played over a series of five games\, three on the 29th and two on the 30th\, with luch and dinner breaks. There are a number of restaurants in the vincinity and also a great one at the museum – “The Arsenal”. On Sunday we also have the luxury of receiving a guided tour of the WW2 exhibition. As we are expecting some international players from our neighbouring countries the tour will be held in English. \nThe lists will be restricted to 1000p and a maximum of 16 order dice. You can only take a maximum of two multi rocket launchers and they have to be taken as regular or veteran. Only units from the Bolt Action v3 rulebook and minor nations pdf are allowed. \nLists must be sent to info@jensmagi.se by March 10th. DESCRIPTION:“Droga do Berlina 2025” (Road to Berlin 2025) is a unique two-day historical wargaming event taking place April 5-6\, 2025 at Stacja Kultura in Rumia\, Poland. This Bolt Action event focuses on the final months of World War II\, recreating the intense battles of 1945 as Allied forces drove toward Berlin against Axis defenses. What makes this event truly special is its emphasis on historical events and battles\, narrative-driven gameplay rather than competitive tournament play. \nUnlike standard tournaments\, “Road to Berlin” features asymmetric\, story-driven scenarios where players command forces in scenarios based on events from 1944-1945. It is not always fair\, but that is the reality of war\, and we need to do the best we can in each circumstance! Each scenario has a historical background and special rules to mimic realities on battlefields during the war’s final chapter. The event combines crafted narrative backgrounds with beautifully designed historical battlefield tables – including one of a kind sceneries of Reichstag building in scale for Bolt Action. This massive building shows the final chapter of war\, creating an event which aims to capture the desperation and determination of this pivotal moment in history. With the aim of fair play and good games in friendly community atmosphere and a focus on the enjoyment of historical wargaming rather than competitive gaming\, this event offers something truly different for Bolt Action players in Poland. Whether commanding a desperate Volkssturm defense or leading an Allied push into German territory\, participants will experience the dramatic final act of WWII through designed scenarios that showcase Bolt Action Third Edition narrative strengths while connecting with fellow history and gaming enthusiasts in a welcoming environment.
