DESCRIPTION:Welcome Generals to the 3rd annual Operation Cricket Bolt Action Doubles Tournament held at the historic Camp Perry in Port Clinton\, Ohio. Each year\, our event has grown substantially in size\, and this tournament continues to be a mainstay of the Hold The Line convention. The rules are simple – 1500pts and 20 order dice max per team\, no duplicating auxiliary platoons (recce\, engineer\, armor\, etc). This is your chance to bring a partner and battle over 3 games of custom terrain and custom missions. Beware\, the missions will be designed with Doubles play in mind\, so come ready to fight as a team to complete your objectives. \nThere will be awards for Best Allied Team\, Best Axis Team\, Best Painted Army\, Best Battlefield\, and Most Sporting Team\, among a few other awards to be given at the discretion of the TO and the convention hall. Please provide your intent to play and army lists to the TO (crackerjax514@gmail.com) by October 31. Note\, all “Armies of…” books (including the Soviet Union pending release by the Oct 31 date) will be allowed in addition to the V3 rulebook and minor nations PDFs. \nDue to the substantial growth of new players across Ohio\, this event will not have a minimum painting requirement\, though it is Highly Encouraged. DESCRIPTION:Fall Gelb is named after the historical operation Case Yellow\, in which Germany attacked the Low Countries. As the event takes place in the east of the Netherlands\, the name felt quite fitting.\nThe goal of this event is to provide a fun\, beginner-friendly\, and relaxed day of gaming. It’s less of a competitive tournament and more of an opportunity for players to enjoy Bolt Action\, meet the local community\, and learn the game in a friendly environment. Hopefully fun for both experienced and new players.\nThe event will consist of three games in a single day. Armies are limited to 800 points\, and rounds last 1 hour 45 minutes\, giving even new players plenty of time to complete their games.\nPainting is not required\, although unpainted squads will receive a small penalty (–1 to any cover save throws).\nWe’ve also adjusted the Armored Platoon rules so that players with only a starter box can participate. A single vehicle may be taken even without the Command Vehicle option. A second vehicle may be added\, provided that one has the Command Vehicle special rule.\nAll lists will be reviewed to maintain a friendly and balanced environment. Highly competitive or skewed lists (e.g.\, multiple DAKKA Stuarts) will not be accepted unless thematically justified.

SUMMARY:Operation Frozen Tide Bolt Action
DESCRIPTION:This upcoming event is a direct product of further community initiative taking place here. In late\nSeptember of this year\, I went about seeing how the local Bolt Action community in my area was; as\npreviously mentioned it was a bit stagnant at the time. After hosting a few pick up games and the previous\nbeginners tournament it drew up significant momentum. So much so that other community members\,\nsuch as the good Choi Kyu are also wanting to start up tournaments in their town!\nChoi and his group of Bolt Action players are in the next town over. He’s been doing fantastic\ntutorial games for new\, interested players. Offering loaners armies\, creating engaging table spaces and\nunique objective tokens. He’s spurred up about 6 fellow Bolt Action players in his area. After hearing of\nmy planned tournament in October he also launched the idea for his Combat Patrol Tournament on the\n22nd of November\nThe tournament works as a continuation of my tournament. As mine was 450pts\, this is now\n500pts. Offering a slight bit of escalation but still being open to beginners. With this tournament we both\nhope to draw out even more players\, now in the Moncton area\, that are interested in this fantastic game.\nChoi has put a lot together for this tournament and I am very excited to support him as a co-host. For\nexample\, he has even gone out of his way to buy and prepare a Bolt Action Starter army for a lucky\nwinner with his own funds! This tournament will also allow Bolt Action players from my area\, Fredericton\nto meet and play with Moncton Bolt Action players.\nFollowing this tournament I hope to run a larger point scale event. Perhaps 1000pts or 1250pts\,\nhere again early in the New Year. I once again am extremely thankful for the support this company and\nyour team have given this local Bolt Action community!

Over three 1000 point games the Allied players will fight the Axis players to determine the course of the first 2 years of world war 2. The goal of the day for each player is to have a great time in a relaxed atmosphere and making new friends in the Bolt Action community.” \nTo summarize\, I think there are a lot of (new) players who want to play a friendly tournament where the focus is not on bringing the best possible list\, but on historical and thematic gaming. In 3 days I had over 20 people who registered and paid. There are people from the Netherlands\, Germany and even Denmark who will take the long trip for a single day event . A 2 day Bolt Action Tournament based on the outskirts of Nottingham\, UK on the 29th and 30th of November 2025 hosted by the Leicester Juggernauts Wargaming Club in collaboration with 7th City Collectables.\nThis event is unapologetically a competitive event\, and players will be expected to bring their A-game and attempt to out-think and outplay their opponents on the day. To not discourage the more casual player\, we tend to find that being up front and admitting that people will be trying to win leads to a more fun and relaxed day. We know what we are all here for afterall!\nThis is not an excuse for poor sportsmanship; our #1 rule is showing respect to your opponents and each other. Players will compete on merit and skill rather than underhand techniques to abuse their way to victory. Callous behaviour or unsporting habits (not declaring before rolling\, slow playing etc) is not acceptable and any outright cheating will be a one way ticket out the door.\nTo further emphasise our style of event\, only small token awards will be given to the top placed players\, as winning is the reward itself. Instead all of the prizes will be raffled off to random entrants regardless of placement. Therefore please do not feel you need to be god’s gift to Bolt Action to attend.
