SUMMARY:NLS Presents: Bridge over the River Wensum - A Bolt Action Slow Grow League
DESCRIPTION:Bridge over the River Wensum is a slow grow\, escalation league running over 4 months. It sees players ramping their forces up from 500 points to 1250 by the final month. Each player is required to play 2 games per round. Players score points for winning battles and painting their armies\, with the aim to have a fully painted army by the end of the league and having had a lot of fun along the way. At the end of the league\, the player with the highest combined score between hobby and battle points will win the coveted overall Supreme Commander Award. There are also awards for Best General\, Best Hobbyist\, Best Painted and Best Themed armies alongside that most important of all awards\, The Wooden Spoon! \nThe aim of the league was to grow the Bolt Action community within the club and\, with 14 participants\, it seems to have succeded! Everyone has had a lot of fun so far and\, with 1 more round of games to play\, there is still a lot to play for.

DESCRIPTION:The Bolt Action tournament at Carnage is a competitive tournament for players of all experience levels. The tournament is currently being planned to run using the Bolt Action Third Edition rules which will be released in September. This will be a great opportunity to bring in the new edition with every nation on a level playing field. The tournament will be run as a 1000-point tournament using the new army selection rules in the Bolt Action Third Edition rulebook. This is subject to change based on the release of the Third Edition rulebook.  \n1944 was a year with numerous large-scale offensives from Operations Overlord and Bagration to Ichi-Go and Wacht am Rhein\, forces on both sides of the war were still fighting hard for every inch of ground given and taken.

SUMMARY:V3 Bolt Action Tournament
DESCRIPTION:This 12-person tournament will allow you to play Bolt Action using the newly released version 3 rules.  Each player will play three games throughout the tournament with prizes provided to the top three finishers.  Players must bring a 1250 point and 1000 point list from the version 3 rulebook.  The final point limit for lists will be determined after the release of the version 3 book.  Players need to bring five printed copies of their lists to share with their opponents and tournament organizers.  Games will last three hours and players will be on a one minute timer to choose activations.  A one hour lunch break will be taken after the first game.

SUMMARY:Gauteng National Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The event will be aimed at the new player and will be the culmination of all our hard work so far this year\, to host a big tournament will give everyone their change to prove themselves. The tournament will be unique in that we will host two divisions\, a Experienced and Rookie division to give all the new players a change to play against each other on a similar skill level and for the experience Bolt Action players to test their mettle separately.  \nWe have limited the army points for the tournament to 837pts and also relaxed the army unit requirement\, to make it easier and more flexible for new players who does not yet have a full fledged army to still compete and learn how to build a army to compete over various missions. The tournament will also be less intimidating because the new players will not play against the experienced players. For most players in Gauteng this will be their first major tournament.
