DESCRIPTION:The club ‘El Jabalí Pisador’ (the trampling boar) has existed for 3 years and from the beginning it has been a club dedicated to classic versions of Warhammer. I joined the club 2 years ago\, I have been playing wargames of all kinds for 30 years and I wanted to play classic editions of Warhammer again. I have been a Bolt Action player since 2013\, and I have participated in several national tournaments in Spain. From the moment I joined I tried to ‘capture’ other members of the club to play Bolt Action\, and little by little I was able to do so. Currently I am the ‘unofficial’ manager of Bolt Action in the club. The growth of the Bolt Action section with several armies already in the club has prompted me to launch the option of the first Bolt Action tournament in the club. The last objetive is to set up a Bolt Action club in Valencia\, the first one. \nThe tournament is intended to be non-competitive\, but rather a way to promote and perfect the Bolt Action game at our club. We have two goals: first\, to consolidate Bolt Action within the club\, and second\, to bring the club’s Bolt Action players together for a fun day. \nAll prizes will be awarded in raffles\, except for the most friendly player and the best army.

SUMMARY:Bastille Day Bash
DESCRIPTION:I will be running a three round friendly Bolt Action tournament on Sunday\, July 13 just\none day before the 236 th anniversary of the storming of the Bastille often referred to as\nthe start of the French Revolution. Each round will be 2 ½ hours and features a bit of a\ntwist to army lists. All participants will create two lists. One list at 1250 points\, 18 order\ndice and configured for attack and a second list at 1000 points\, 16 order dice and\nconfigured for defense. At the start of each round players will roll off with the winner\ngetting to choose to attack or defend. Defending players get to choose table edge and\nwill have access to a set of defensive obstacles including barbed wire\, tank traps\,\nsandbag emplacements\, a mixed minefield\, and most importantly\, a pre-registered\nartillery point which will bring down an off board medium howitzer barrage which does\nnot count towards your defensive army list points. Defending player gets to place the\nobstacles prior to the start of the game and secretly record the location of the pre-\nregistered artillery point.\nPlayers will have a variety of beautifully detailed tables to play on including Normandy\nBocage\, Normandy Village\, Potemkin Village\, Belin 1945\, North Africa\, Northern\nEuropean farm\, Burma jungle and woodland.

DESCRIPTION:The Essex Open is a new annual event bringing together all Bolt Action players from Esse and the East of England\, which is proudly hosted by SSWG. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the BA Tournament at Historicon 2025. This year’s convention them is the history of the US Army. The Bolt Action tournament is going to reflect that theme this year. Armies will be 1775 points in size to commemorate the birth of the US Army. There shall be some restrictions to get to the point total. You can only take one infantry platoon\, and you must take one armoured platoon. That armoured platoon must be at least 775 points of your army and can be more. \nThe object here is to get you to bring out all those big tanks and the ability to take them at a veteran experience level if you want. Bring the fun toys you can never fit in a regular list. Push them around the table and have a blast. Enjoy three games of Bolt Action in a unique setting.

DESCRIPTION:The 1000pt League Camolus will consist of Twelve Players playing eleven Bolt Action battles fortnightly against each other over the course of 20 weeks at the Colchester Wargaming Association where they will win lose or draw in order to try and be crowned league winner and best bolt action player! The league mission pack carefully provides the rules\, detail and terrain set up so each mission is identically replicated every time it is played – ensuring that the league is consistent but full of variety! 25 Special Key League Tactical objectives can also be achieved over the course of the 11 league games which enable players to score extra bonus league points to help boost their standing and point scores (Objectives such as making a tank on tank kill\, playing with a list that is only inexperienced units\, making an assault and having your unit wiped our or having a medic heal 3 soldiers in one battle!) therefore\, players may lose a few games but thanks to these it doesn’t mean that they could be out of the hunt! Importantly\, we want the league to be fun and NOT repetitive therefore each battle will be a unique mission that you can win lose or draw (consisting of missions and scenarios in the v3 rulebook with a couple of newly created ones added in as well). This means that none of the 11 battles to be played will be the same yet everyone will play the same set of games and missions – missions which full test every aspect of generalship and strategy. In conjunction with the title\, there are awards for best painted army\, best sportsman across the league\, wooden spoon\, and best action or against all odds moment of the league – where photographic proof is 100% needed! Players must choose and stick with their chosen nation for the duration of the league but are welcome to select or tailor different 1000 point army lists as they see fit for each mission providing it complies with the current official Bolt Action V3 rules and army composition. DESCRIPTION:Attrition is as far as we’re aware the only event where your army gets smaller as the rounds progress. \nThis year we are kicking off with a 1500 point game over 3 hours. Apart from a limit of 2 Multi-launchers anything goes. There are no army or dice restrictions\, just be sensible with your dice count as we want to finish in time. \nThe second game will be 1100 points – a Pyrrhic victory has left you with no reserves. but you must push on. You have outrun your armoured support\, so no Armoured Platoons may be taken. \nThe third is 800 points – it’s getting dark and your heavy artillery is running out of ammo. The tanks are miles behind having a brew up. This round you still cannot select an Armoured platoon and your heavy weapons have run out of ammo\, so no 3″ or 4″ templates may be taken. \nAlso Johnny Ferg is cooking lunch\, so you don’t want to miss that.

DESCRIPTION:Open Play event is a standard tournament style but follows exactly the same premise as Assemble the men\, style\, theme\, everything\, although the game modes this time will be a play test for our big narrative weekend in September. \nI myself am a seasoned veteran of several high-profile tournaments and events\, both as a player and as a TO\, for example I used to co-run the event at Warfare until it changed hands last year\, and run multiple a year for many game systems\, and have attended several GTs at warlord HQ and am even the winner of 75th D-day Anniversary even you held as well as Cambridge Too Far a while back\, so I have plenty of experience and Bolt Action isn’t the only game I run events for\, and have always received lots of positive feedback and praise.

DESCRIPTION:Assemble the Men Sergeant\, is a beginner friendly event aimed at newer players\, both to the game and to events\, as well as those looking to get back into the game or for a more casual experience\, there is no painting requirement and players who buy a starter set or army box at the venue get a free ticket as its designed to attract new players and we run this event a couple of times a year. \nI myself am a seasoned veteran of several high-profile tournaments and events\, both as a player and as a TO\, for example I used to co-run the event at Warfare until it changed hands last year\, and run multiple a year for many game systems\, and have attended several GTs at warlord HQ and am even the winner of 75th D-day Anniversary even you held as well as Cambridge Too Far a while back\, so I have plenty of experience and Bolt Action isn’t the only game I run events for\, and have always received lots of positive feedback and praise.

SUMMARY:V3 Bolt Action Tournament – Europe 1943
DESCRIPTION:To fight for prizes\, promote the game and venue\, and to\nhave FUN! The event is loosely themed from JAN 1942 to AUG 1943 and based in Europe\n(no Pacific theme this time). The Americans land in Morocco to aid the beleaguered British.\nRommel and his Italian allies are on the retreat after fighting on the Mareth Line; which side\ndo the Commanders plan to fight on? In Italy the Allies are preparing to invade Sicily and to\nadvance upon Italy\, and in Russia the Axis are advancing to Prokhorovka; which of these\nforces will the Commanders choose to help to turn the tide of stalemate?\nThere will be up to 9 tables for the 18 Commanders to battle on that will cover\ngeography from North Africa\, Sicily\, & the steppes of Russia. Commanders will have to fight\nin cities\, railyards\, grassy steppes with clumpy vegetation and farmhouses\, and barren\,\ndesert\, rocky outcrops. Which table each commander fights on will be unknown so it will\ncause them to be judicious on the Task Force they create. Additional victory points are\nawarded for creating a platoon/company based (loosely) on a real unit that fought in the\nabove theaters at the time mentioned (encouragement for players to study history and then\ntry to re-enact it as well as paying homage to those veterans). Finally\, each Commander is\nallowed to purchase minefields and/or a veteran tank crewman (Tank War concept) if they\ndesire to add additional reality or flexibility to their company.\nThe venue and other sponsors donate funds for prize support to encourage\nmaximum attendance and FUN!! At least half the prize support is purchased from Warlord\nGames. On average\, about $350.00 worth of prize support is gifted then awarded to the\nparticipants.

This is a follow-up to a recent demo event we ran early in June to show prospective players how the basics of Bolt Action work. It was a great success and we had several new players purchase Bolt Action product immediately after we concluded the demo. \nWith a new and growing community we have decided to seize the opportunity to get everyone to form a solid foundation for their new armies and encourage a healthy competitive spirit with a simple 500 point tournament that can be easily approached by anyone who just got in or is coming back to Bolt Action after the update to third edition.

DESCRIPTION:A V3 event in Canberra/Queanbeyan with one 1111-point list to be provided.\nThe cost will be $40 one day\, $70 for 2 days.\nLists will be checked by a nominated person before the 16th.\nArmy list guidelines\nlimitations on unit selection.\nYou may only include a maximum of one unit that can shoot any type of Multi rocket launcher.\nAir observers and artillery observers with special national rules can only apply the special national rules to a maximum of one of the observer units taken\, nominated by the player at the time of deployment.\nMaximum Two of Any Unit You may not take any unit in your army more than twice. E.g. Armies of Germany may take two Panzer Is and two Panzer IIIs. Note that where a unit’s entries have upgrades or different variations\, such as howitzers with the option to upgrade a light to a medium or heavy howitzer\, the limit of two applies to each type.\nThe following exceptions apply: Infantry Squads\, Medics and Platoon Commanders.
