What began as a small group of six commanders in our first season has evolved into a thriving Messenger community of 33 active players\, with 6 to 10 new recruits joining every month. In May and June alone\, we introduced over 15 new players to Bolt Action through structured initiation sessions. The league features bi‑weekly matchups\, rotating scenarios\, hobby challenges\, and a welcoming environment where both newcomers and veterans can enjoy historical battles\, develop tactical skills\, and immerse themselves in the rich World War II setting of the game. Every session is designed to be accessible\, engaging\, and fun\, making it easy for new players to jump in and experienced players to push their strategic limits.\nWhat makes this league truly exceptional is its momentum and sense of community. Our second season is already set to surpass 20 participants\, demonstrating how quickly interest and enthusiasm are growing across our stores. Players know they can expect high‑quality tables\, fair pairings\, and a friendly atmosphere supported by dedicated organizers who care deeply about the hobby. The league fosters camaraderie\, sportsmanship\, and creativity through painting contests\, themed missions\, and narrative progression. With prizes\, monthly highlights\, and a season finale that brings everyone together\, the Bolt Action League is more than a competition—it’s a celebration of historical wargaming and one of the most exciting community events in the Montréal region. DESCRIPTION:ING.\nWe want to host an event for Bolt Action beginners who are eager to learn. We chose the name “Plaza Italia” for the event because it serves as a common gathering point for the various communities of Santiago. Our approach involves creating the smallest possible army lists\, allowing new players to participate by purchasing just a single box of infantry from their favorite faction. Originally\, we planned to hold the tournament in September—our national month\, marking the First Government Junta—but since that time has passed\, we selected November instead; this month holds great significance for the course of World War II\, witnessing events such as Operation Torch and the French offensive.\nI enjoy using these occasions to play and learn about historical events alongside others; I studied history education and worked as a teacher for several years\, and these games allow me to share my passion for history with other people. Consequently\, while the event aims to be competitive\, it also seeks to foster a festive atmosphere focused on learning. \nESP.\nQueremos realizar un evento para principiantes de Bolt Action que estén con ganas de aprender. Es por eso que hemos elegido el nombre de Plaza Italia para el evento ya que es un lugar de comunión para las localidades de Santiago. Nuestra temática será hacer listas lo más pequeñas posibles para poder invitar a jugadores nuevos a participar comprando una sola caja de infantería de la facción que más le guste. Adicionalmente a eso\, nuestra primera idea sobre hacer el torneo era realizarlo en Septiembre ya que es el mes patrio por la primera junta de gobierno. Pero como se nos pasó el tiempo elegimos noviembre por lo importante que fue para el desarrollo de la segunda guerra\, como la operación antorcha o la ofensiva francesa.\nPara estas instancias me gusta aprovechar de jugar y aprender con otros sobre eventos históricos\, estudié pedagogía en historia y ejercí como profesor durante algunos años\, y gracias a estos juegos puedo compartir mi afición por la historia con otras personas. Entonces además de que el evento intente ser competitivo\, busca tener un ambiente más festivo y de aprendizaje.
