SUMMARY:Hull & East Riding Wargames Club - Bolt Action Competition
DESCRIPTION:The Hull & East Riding Wargames Club is the new name for what used to be North Hull Wargames Club. The club came into being in the 1960’s with famous members including Peter Gilder\, Duncan MacFarlane and Harry Harrison. Since that time the club has developed with the times including many other well known people in our hobby.\nIn 2021 we moved locations to the current residence at Garden Village Community Centre in Hull\, meeting every Saturday between 12pm to 6pm. \nThis is the first Bolt Action organised competition at the club. After a lot of interest in Bolt Action by members it was suggested to create a fun competitive competition. Eighteen members have put their name forward to play.\nThe competition will be organised in the following way. Two leagues of nine people\, each player in their league will play an opponent once\, (8 games). The person at the top of the league after all games have been played will play the other league’s winner in a final game to see who is champion. As well as prizes provided by Warlord Games\, a trophy will be purchased. This will encourage the club to hold the event at least on an annual basis. \nWe choose Bolt Action 3 for its fantastic game play\, realistic Second World War details\, and flexibility. A number of new members have recently purchased the Bolt Action 3 rule book as well as figures to get ready for the game. With Warlord Games generous prize offer\, the competition will undoubtedly be a success. Any interest from non members are welcome to visit and join in from 12pm to 6pm every Saturday. SUMMARY:II Torneo de Bolt Action ‘Asociación Jabalí Pisador’ (2nd Bolt Action Tournament ‘Boar Stomping Association’)
DESCRIPTION:The El Jabalí Pisador club (“The Trampling Boar”) has been active for four years and has always focused on classic editions of Warhammer Fantasy. I joined two years ago\, bringing with me three decades of wargaming experience and a renewed interest in classic systems. Alongside this\, I have been a Bolt Action player since 2013\, taking part in several national tournaments in Spain\, and our club also enjoys other Warlord Games titles such as Black Seas\, with plans to explore their Napoleonic ranges in the near future.\nSince joining\, I have steadily encouraged other members to try Bolt Action\, and interest has grown step by step. I now act as the club’s unofficial Bolt Action coordinator\, and the increase in players and available armies has motivated me to propose our Second Bolt Action event. In the long term\, our ambition is to establish the first dedicated Bolt Action club in Valencia\, strengthening the presence of Warlord Games systems in our community.\nThis Second Annual tournament is not meant to be highly competitive\, but rather a gathering point for Bolt Action fans. Our goals are twofold: to firmly anchor Bolt Action within the club and to attract new players so the community continues to expand. To maintain a friendly atmosphere for veterans and newcomers alike\, most prizes will be raffled\, with only the Best Sportsmanship and Best Painted Army and vehicle awards decided traditionally.\nFinally\, we are proud to note that our club recently achieved sixth place in the latest Bolt Action Spanish Team Championship\, a result that reflects both our growing commitment to the game and the enthusiasm of our players.

SUMMARY:Unthinkable 2.0 - Everybody down!
DESCRIPTION:To hold this description “brief” we should just say that our main goal is to “Spread Good Game”. And that is shown with at least two directions.\nFirst of all\, from the very beginning our event was created on the idea that Good Game and having fun at the table is the main target that we are aiming at. That’s why we don’t even call it a tournament\, because most award-winning actions are not best score or most VPs\, but best minis painter and most friendly player on the event. Of course we are gonna make some more hard\, competitive events\, but it is not this day! \nThe second thing that we have to mention is literally spreading the game itself. Every person that helps us on that event is just a lad that fell in love with Bolt Action at first sight. That’s why we would love to just show it to as many people as we can\, including the young ones\, that are just getting into the passion of military and modeling. That’s why we made an event where literally everyone can show up and have some fun with their favorite minis. In our opinion\, the Bolt Action is such a fine system that it needs to be popularized\, especially that everyone would benefit from it. A bigger community means faster growth\, more players and nicer tables to play on!
