DESCRIPTION:Operation Triple Threat is a beginner friendly escalation league being run in the ACVC Hub in Glasgow. The aim of the league is to introduce players old and new Bolt Action 3rd Edition rules\, get to grips with the new platoon structure and generally have some fun! OTT involves 3 rounds of games with 2 games per round.\nRound 1 is 500 points\, single rifle platoon only.\nRound 2 is 750 points\, 1 rifle platoon plus 1 other platoon.\nRound 3 is 1000 points\, unlimited platoons.

SUMMARY:NLS Presents: Bridge over the River Wensum - A Bolt Action Slow Grow League
DESCRIPTION:Bridge over the River Wensum is a slow grow\, escalation league running over 4 months. It sees players ramping their forces up from 500 points to 1250 by the final month. Each player is required to play 2 games per round. Players score points for winning battles and painting their armies\, with the aim to have a fully painted army by the end of the league and having had a lot of fun along the way. At the end of the league\, the player with the highest combined score between hobby and battle points will win the coveted overall Supreme Commander Award. There are also awards for Best General\, Best Hobbyist\, Best Painted and Best Themed armies alongside that most important of all awards\, The Wooden Spoon! \nThe aim of the league was to grow the Bolt Action community within the club and\, with 14 participants\, it seems to have succeded! Everyone has had a lot of fun so far and\, with 1 more round of games to play\, there is still a lot to play for.

SUMMARY:Steel City Wargaming – Battle of the Bulge
DESCRIPTION:In the early hours of December 16th\, the Germans launched a major offensive through the densely forested Ardennes region between Belgium and Luxembourg. Their goal – to split the Allied forces and capture the port of Antwerp! In their way stood a rag-tag Allied force\, expecting to rest and recoup during the harshest winter on record!\nCome out for a great day of wargaming\, playing some great scenarios using the 3rd edition of the Bolt Action game.\nThe first scenario is our custom Battle of the Bulge game\, taking place in the opening hours of the German offensive. The Allies are trying to evacuate their fuel trucks to safety while the Germans are trying to capture the fuel depots.\nThe second scenario is the Battle for Foy\, made famous by Episode 7 of the Band of Brothers series. This is straight out of the Battle of the Bulge campaign book.\nIf both these events fill-up\, we’ll add a third event.\nYou can sign-up at the following link. SUMMARY:Caladrius Games Escalation & Veni\, Vidi\, Vici Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Currently we have a small informal local Bolt Action community comprised of new players\nand a few seasoned tournament veterans (one 2023 WTC participant). Our goal is entice\nmore players\, educate everyone on the new 3rd Edition rule set and build a sense of\ncollegial competition. We have designed a simple and straightforward set of rules for the\nescalation league designed to value education over competition. The culmination will be a\ncompetitive format tournament in August we are calling “Veni\, Vidi\, Vici”. In addition to\npromotional flyers in area game stores\, we have tried to weekly build hype and draw in new\nplayers via Caladrius Games (host store) Facebook site\, as well as both Georgia and\nTennessee Bolt Action Facebook groups. Thus far the response has been bigger than we\nreasonably hoped. January 26th we are hosting a kicko event to introduce everyone to\nthe format\, familiarize with the 3 terrain tables we have built for the league and answer any\nquestions regarding the league\, tournament or 3rd Edition rule set. This will include free\nhamburgers and hotdogs to hopefully entice any fence sitters and allow for socializing.\nMyself and another player have offered free loaner armies for anyone that would like to play\nbut may have nancial constraints.

SUMMARY:The New Guys Tournament
DESCRIPTION:A simple round robin event geared towards players either new to the game or new to competitive play. We’re looking to foster a friendly\, but competitive event.\nIt will be 1000 points\, 15 OD Limit(So bring the big tanks\, and there is a 2 hour game.\nBoth points and time are limited. Players will have to make tactical choices about what to bring in their armies and how to fight their battles. Do you load up on order dice to swamp your opponent\, but have to play quick? Or do you bring heavy tanks to laugh as the rounds bounce off you\, but know they have little support? Players will have to learn how to fight under restriction\, or else fail.
