SUMMARY:NLS Presents: Bridge over the River Wensum - A Bolt Action Slow Grow League
DESCRIPTION:Bridge over the River Wensum is a slow grow\, escalation league running over 4 months. It sees players ramping their forces up from 500 points to 1250 by the final month. Each player is required to play 2 games per round. Players score points for winning battles and painting their armies\, with the aim to have a fully painted army by the end of the league and having had a lot of fun along the way. At the end of the league\, the player with the highest combined score between hobby and battle points will win the coveted overall Supreme Commander Award. There are also awards for Best General\, Best Hobbyist\, Best Painted and Best Themed armies alongside that most important of all awards\, The Wooden Spoon! \nThe aim of the league was to grow the Bolt Action community within the club and\, with 14 participants\, it seems to have succeded! Everyone has had a lot of fun so far and\, with 1 more round of games to play\, there is still a lot to play for.

DESCRIPTION:In the early hours of December 16th\, the Germans launched a major offensive through the densely forested Ardennes region between Belgium and Luxembourg. Their goal – to split the Allied forces and capture the port of Antwerp! In their way stood a rag-tag Allied force\, expecting to rest and recoup during the harshest winter on record!\nCome out for a great day of wargaming\, playing some great scenarios using the 3rd edition of the Bolt Action game.\nThe first scenario is our custom Battle of the Bulge game\, taking place in the opening hours of the German offensive. The Allies are trying to evacuate their fuel trucks to safety while the Germans are trying to capture the fuel depots.\nThe second scenario is the Battle for Foy\, made famous by Episode 7 of the Band of Brothers series. The largest tank on tank engagement of the war. as the Germans start building up to delivering a large blow to the Soviet union but the secrecy of the operation is out the Soviets know they are coming when and where and have build up an “appropriate” response. Each side of 9 players will have a force of staggering proportions 21\,500 Points of Germans Vs 23\,400 Points of Soviets. as the Germans push on to their objectives will they change history from this disadvantageous position. \nUsing a large table measuring 15 foot by 22 foot you will have to work with your allies to take on the enemy and achieve your objectives\, hold the ground from any reserves that may be coming as counter attacks. Army and Divisional markers will prominently display where your army leadership is and where your pushing for glory from. This event is an opportunity for all competitive and new bolt action players alike to come into our recently renovated and upgraded hall and join in the fun of playing one of the best tabletop games out there!\nThis will be a 1250 point event with a 18 dice cap with 3 games to be played throughout the course of the day\, Group North Wargaming club has a large hall to utilise and can easily fit in excess of 30 full tables in the hall as well as being stocked with a very cold fridge full of refreshing drinks (important for the warm january days in Adelaide) and also facilities to provide hot food and snacks for the players in between the intense bouts and duels on the tabletop! There will also be a large selection of excellent terrain to play over as Adelaide has a very vibrant and supportive community with many club members\, the club itself and other players happy to lend and use their terrain to ensure that everyone can have a truly fun and immersive experience on the day! With the support of many sponsors and volunteers the event is looking to be a very exciting and awesome day to be had!!

DESCRIPTION:Welcome Generals to Forces of Freedom Historical Gaming Weekend. This will be our second installment of the “Operation: Grizzly” Bolt Action Doubles Tournament\, and our first foray into the new edition. We are happy to host at our local Veterans of Foreign Wars post and can’t wait to see some cinematic moments and roll dice over an excellent game. Bring a teammate (if you come alone\, don’t worry\, we’ll pair you up with someone day of the event) and be ready to clash in a 2v2 format playing custom missions. \nList construction is simple: 600pts\, 1-2 platoons\, 10 order dice cap. Note\, you cannot field a duplicate auxiliary platoon with your teammate. For example\, Player A and B form a team. They each field their required rifle platoons\, but only 1 player can field an artillery platoon for the whole team. DESCRIPTION:Our tournament name has the coolest in France « MARS ATTACK »\, we print some UFO in order to make beautiful table\, our guidance line ‘ll be put some « MARS » in each our future tournament (mars strick back\, gosht of mars\, attack of mars….) Because ours tournament is based on rule that alow you to play many thing BUT big player can’t make cheat army (limitation on tank\, limitation of indirect fire). Scenario ‘ll be based on wtc rule it’s fair and balanced. We are gonna play 3 scenario based on mouvement (gun line army ‘ll be in trouble). The scenario and army list ‘ll be released one week before the tournament in order to help player to analyse the other army.  \nWe plan to make some feature during the tournament\nKingslayer : in France there one undeafeted player in tournament named Frédéric FOURQUET (from the city named ANGERS). If someone manage to win against him\, i want to give it to him a crown (from burger king). To represent the fact has he manage to kill the old king to become the new king.\nFirst round : the first player who do a friendly fire ‘ll get a towel or a charm (or some stuff) with writted « luck »\nSecond round : the first player who manage to kill a unit with PIN ’ll pin’s (you know the thing you can put to your clothes\, in France that was an old fashion style. I’don’t know the name in english for that)\nThird round : the first player who manage to kill a unit with a tank assault ’ll get some stuff (we have to work on it too)\nThis kind of sub action is in order to create some good memories\, during the tournament and to create a good and fun reputation to ours tournament (for further tournament)

SUMMARY:Caladrius Games Escalation & Veni\, Vidi\, Vici Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Currently we have a small informal local Bolt Action community comprised of new players\nand a few seasoned tournament veterans (one 2023 WTC participant). Our goal is entice\nmore players\, educate everyone on the new 3rd Edition rule set and build a sense of\ncollegial competition. We have designed a simple and straightforward set of rules for the\nescalation league designed to value education over competition. The culmination will be a\ncompetitive format tournament in August we are calling “Veni\, Vidi\, Vici”. In addition to\npromotional flyers in area game stores\, we have tried to weekly build hype and draw in new\nplayers via Caladrius Games (host store) Facebook site\, as well as both Georgia and\nTennessee Bolt Action Facebook groups. Thus far the response has been bigger than we\nreasonably hoped. January 26th we are hosting a kicko event to introduce everyone to\nthe format\, familiarize with the 3 terrain tables we have built for the league and answer any\nquestions regarding the league\, tournament or 3rd Edition rule set. This will include free\nhamburgers and hotdogs to hopefully entice any fence sitters and allow for socializing.\nMyself and another player have offered free loaner armies for anyone that would like to play\nbut may have nancial constraints.

DESCRIPTION:A simple round robin event geared towards players either new to the game or new to competitive play. We’re looking to foster a friendly\, but competitive event.\nIt will be 1000 points\, 15 OD Limit(So bring the big tanks\, and there is a 2 hour game.\nBoth points and time are limited. Players will have to make tactical choices about what to bring in their armies and how to fight their battles. Do you load up on order dice to swamp your opponent\, but have to play quick? Or do you bring heavy tanks to laugh as the rounds bounce off you\, but know they have little support? Players will have to learn how to fight under restriction\, or else fail.

DESCRIPTION:INVASION! Escalation league is the first event promoting the launch of the Bolt Action range at Torchlight Games & Hobbies. Players of all levels of experience are invited to participate in a slow grow build\, paint and play community shared event. For $20\, a player receives a booklet in the form of a soldier’s pay book which includes all the event rules\, scenarios and stamps proving to your fellows that you have met that round’s requirements of having built\, painted and played. Each round players will receive medals\, patches and Warlord prizes. Once a player has completed their booklet and attained the rank of General\, they will receive a discount off entry to Torchlight’s first Bolt Action tournament.
