Whilst it is doubtful the technology is of Builder origin\, it appears to be sufficiently advanced to be able to partially predict gate activity: at least\, it seems to indicate the direction in which a closure is about to occur. Gaining control of a number of these devices and repositioning them could locate an imminent collapse. But there is no clear user interface to the technology and\, even more mysteriously\, what are thought to be status indicators occasionally flash up two words in the Concord alphabet: ‘Yu Hamnu’. \nBut NuHu Ambassador Yu Hamnu disappeared on Xilos: has she really survived the Xilos Catastrophe? Is she somehow safe behind the Xilos time-locks? Has she activated the ancient technology or is she just using it to communicate what she alone can see at the heart of Xilos? SUMMARY:80th Anniversary Italy Campaign Day
DESCRIPTION:Western Front Gamers in Sydney is commemorating the 80th anniversary of the invasion of Italy and the turning of the tide against the Axis in Western Europe by rolling dice in a series of Bolt Action games (and hopefully even some Blood Red Skies as well). \nRex from Valhalla Games will be in attendance with his two magnificent Primosole Bridge campaign boards (featured in their system agnostic Primosole Bridge Campaign Book)\, as will Rob Vella\, the author of the Bolt Action D-Day Overlord\, Soft Underbelly & and forthcoming Tough Gut campaign books. \nPlayers will be allocated a scenario to play taken from either the Soft Underbelly or Primosole Bridge books. These scenarios will be a combination of 1v1 and multiplayer games. The day will focus on Operation Husky (the invasion of Sicily) and the initial mainland invasions at Salerno. \nWestern Front Gamers is acknowledged as Bolt Action HQ in Sydney. Several members play-tested both forces and scenarios for the Soft Underbelly and Tough Gut books.

DESCRIPTION:Operation: Husky is the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum’s 2023 Annual Historically Themed event. This year’s event is orientated around the Allied lands on Sicily. DESCRIPTION:Get ready to mount up and roll out in the Generals Outpost’s most ambitious Bolt Action Big Battle / Tournament yet.\nTake part in a giant Kursk themed battle involving tank platoons and infantry divisions based upon the German offensive at Kursk (Operation Citadel). \nOne Huge table (11′ x 7′)\, two dice bags a whole day of fun\, with the Russians trying to stop the German Blitzkrieg at Prokhorovka. \nUnlike traditional tournaments where each player plays multiple opponents throughout the day we have arranged for the following (as each side will be working together as a team): Trophies for the top Axis and Allied commanders who wreck the most damage on the day as well as our famous “most cinematic action” trophy. We also have prizes for the top four players and the “most cinematic action” winner (These will be based on “Early War” which fits our coming battles for 2025). \n2nd Edition Rules. The Red Army launches a massive offensive in Byelorussian\, which five weeks later put the red Army at the gates of Warsaw. \nThe game will be played over 12 turns and pit 5 axis players against 5 Soviet players. New in game rules including a special “strategy and command phase” will allow units to be moved onto the battlefield over time. Can the Soviets capture Minsk or will the 5th SS Heavy Panzer division hold back the red tide?

DESCRIPTION:“For a real man\, the hardest part is the first forty years of childhood.” – it’s the lesson my grandfather taught me\, a man who told me stories from his youth\, mostly World War II\, when he thought my grandmother couldn’t hear. It was hard for her not to hear\, the conspiratorial whispering performed by my grandfather was well heard throughout the neighborhood – he’d been half deaf since he was amazed to discover that a PzIV blown up with an improvised grenade was so decibellious that the seals fell out. He told of taking three Germans prisoner with a fierce rifle. He told of life as a partisan. He told of the hijacking of the train with the amber chamber\, how they drove it down to a siding in the forest\, but he doesn’t remember exactly where. These stories awakened in me a puppy love of bravado\, a fascination with history\, and resulted in me repeating a history class when I wrote on my final exam that Grandpa had single-handedly conquered Berlin and forced the unconditional surrender of the German Reich after playing poker against Hitler. How does this relate to the event we are organising?\nHuge!\nA historical background straight out of a ’60s movie\, shoot-outs\, bravura bayonet charges\, heroic last stands\, contempt for death\, rubbish jokes and embarrassed looks from our wives! This is what you will encounter at the first edition of “Unthinkable”! \nOn 8 May 1945\, the greatest and bloodiest war in European history came to an end with the surrender of Berlin. The war would have continued with a different distribution of sides. Churchill\, unsure of the Soviets’ intentions\, ordered a plan to strike the Western Allies against their untrustworthy Communist allies. \nWhile the “Operation Unthinkable” was admittedly abandoned\, we decided it is the perfect canvass for a friendly Bolt Action tournament – the Allied planners may have found the plan unworkable\, but they didn’t have such bold and skilled commanders as the Sunday Bolt Action players! \nAnd\, by the way\, Unthinkable sounds like something my Old Grandpa would certainly play first fiddle in\, doesn’t it?

In their way stood a rag-tag Allied force\, expecting to rest and recoup during the harshest winter on record!\nCome out for a great day of wargaming\, playing some great scenarios using the 3rd edition of the Bolt Action game.\nThe first scenario is our custom Battle of the Bulge game\, taking place in the opening hours of the German offensive. The Allies are trying to evacuate their fuel trucks to safety while the Germans are trying to capture the fuel depots.\nThe second scenario is the Battle for Foy\, made famous by Episode 7 of the Band of Brothers series. This is straight out of the Battle of the Bulge campaign book.\nIf both these events fill-up\, we’ll add a third event.\nYou can sign-up at the following link. Pay attention to the restrictions in the scenario rules.\nFor the Foy scenario bring 3 army lists\, 650pts (780pts for German player)\, 900pts (1\,080pts for the German player)\, and 1\,500 pts (1\,800pts for the German player). Again we’ll select which to use based on actual attendance.\nWe’ll review your army lists starting at 11am\, and the event will begin promptly at noon. SUMMARY:Northern Lights
DESCRIPTION:Northern Lights is a one day open Bolt Action competition\, and although players can score points for the Scottish championship it is geared towards the newer player. We encourage newcomers to the game to take part\, and even have a wee prize for the newcomer who does best called “Swimming with Sharks”. The competition conforms to the legislation laid down by the Bolt Action Scotland group\, and is always run as a fund raiser for the local wargames club and the Royal British Legion branch (Oldmachad) which plays host to us. As our only real cost as a club is the rent\, we usually pay half of what is raised in rent for the WARG club and the rest as a straight donation. This year we plan to pay a larger sum of the monies raised to the Legion as a donation because the roof needs fixed.\nThe competition itself is open to anyone\, provided they pay £15.00 for entry (which includes food throughout the day) and they field (this year 1250) Bolt Action force drawn from the main rule book. (As only Armies of Germany is available as yet we feel it is fairer this way) The basic guideline being spend a third of your points on your rifle platoon\, and the rest as you please.\nAs it is only the third V3 competition in Scotland so far we are looking forward to the learning curve for the new game. It will be interesting as we have allowed only 2 hours per game\, so those with a huge bucket of order dice may find they are not completing their games.

SUMMARY:Primer torneo de Bolt Action ‘Asociación Jabalí Pisador’
DESCRIPTION:The club ‘El Jabalí Pisador’ (the trampling boar) has existed for 3 years and from the beginning it has been a club dedicated to classic versions of Warhammer. I joined the club 2 years ago\, I have been playing wargames of all kinds for 30 years and I wanted to play classic editions of Warhammer again. I have been a Bolt Action player since 2013\, and I have participated in several national tournaments in Spain. From the moment I joined I tried to ‘capture’ other members of the club to play Bolt Action\, and little by little I was able to do so. Currently I am the ‘unofficial’ manager of Bolt Action in the club. The growth of the Bolt Action section with several armies already in the club has prompted me to launch the option of the first Bolt Action tournament in the club. The last objetive is to set up a Bolt Action club in Valencia\, the first one. \nThe idea of ​​the tournament is not to make it competitive\, but rather a meeting point for Bolt Action fans and our club in Valencia. We have two objectives\, the first is for Bolt Action to become strongly established in the club\, and the second\, is to get Bolt Action players to the club to continue growing.
