DESCRIPTION:“You are about to embark on the great crusade toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. I have full confidence in your courage\, devotion to duty\, and skill in battle.”\nGeneral Dwight D. Eisenhower \nOn the morning of June 6th 1944 at 0631 hours the largest and possibly the most important coastal landing in human history code named Operation Overlord took place along a large stretch of French coastline. Over 150\,000 American\, British\, Canadian and other Allied souls spent their blood\, sweat\, and tears on that overcast summer morning to begin the final fight that would see the end of Adolf Hitler’s rule over Europe and the reign of terror that had thus cost the lives of millions on three continents over the previous 6 years.  \nWe at Spa City Wargamers have a very strong affinity for Bolt Action by Warlord Games and the appreciation to history this game can bring. In that light we are pleased to announce a special scenario event to take place on Saturday June 9th to commorate this monumental achievement by that Greatest Generation. This will be a two table event pitting the forces of Nazi Germany against the combined might of American and British allied countries. \n This event will have enough table space for up to 8 Allied and 8 German players. Both tables will be 8×4 feet long. One will feature the Dog Green sector of Normandy Beach and the second will be a recreation of the French countryside behind the Atlantic wall. Opsec plan Alpha is to meet up at Smokin In Style BBQ ( 2278 Albert Pike Road Hot Springs AR 71913) at high noon for lunch and then proceeded with the dice rolling after chow. This is an open event for anyone interested in playing. Armies can be provided for those who either don’t own any of the aforementioned forces\, but I highly encourage folks to bring their own if they do.  \nReservations are most certainly better than just showing up but please feel free to drop on by if only to check it out. It runs from July to September 2018. The escalation format means new players and existing players starting a new force can start off small and gradually expand their force\, using the painted forces as soon as they can – no waiting for a full-sized army! By the end of the tournament\, large armies can be fielded and everyone should be able to field the new\, fun toys (flying tanks YES(!)\, like the Boromite Hauler\, the Concord & Freeborn Heavy Combat Drones and Algoryn Heavy Combat Skimmers). \nAll against the backdrop of the new faction\, The Virai Dronescourge from the equally new supplement\, The Dronescourge Returns. \nFinal Date/Time: Saturday September 1st\, 2018\, starting at 10am sharp (get there beforehand to set up) \nWhere: Adler Hobby’s Board Game Cafe\, 138 Wayne St\, Manchester\, NH\, 03102-3739\, USA. \nFormat: Three months prior to the event are escalating 750\, 1000 and 1250 point games. Their scavenging is spreading south: no longer are the Virai a problem confined to the interface between the PanHuman Concord and the Isorian Senatex. Now their depredations threaten the Algoryn Prosperate and the wider Determinate. \nAnd now the Ghar have intervened\, using the Virai to spread destruction amongst their human foes. The Virai have no master plan; they are merely following the line of least resistance. They do not care that the Ghar are deliberately sacrificing older vessels as carriers to spread the Dronescourge into more panhuman systems. And neither do the Virai care that the Ghar then send in their armies to purge the weakened planets of panhumanity. But the Ghar have found the Virai are harder to control than they realised. \nAll along the Determinate interfaces\, panhumanity is fighting for survival against the Ghar\, the Virai\, and frequently other factions in the same straits as themselves. \nThe Interface Wars have begun; only you can decide who wins. \nFACTION LEAGUE GAMES DAY\nWarlord Games HQ\, Lenton Boulevard\, Nottingham\, UK\nNG7 2BD (access via stairs only) \nA themed Antares Faction tournament in which the most successful faction wins the day. A variety of scenarios and only two army lists of 750 and 1250 points. Prior to the event\, each player will be told the scenarios and will have to choose their lists. DESCRIPTION:Western Front Gamers in Sydney is commemorating the 80th anniversary of the invasion of Italy and the turning of the tide against the Axis in Western Europe by rolling dice in a series of Bolt Action games (and hopefully even some Blood Red Skies as well). \nRex from Valhalla Games will be in attendance with his two magnificent Primosole Bridge campaign boards (featured in their system agnostic Primosole Bridge Campaign Book)\, as will Rob Vella\, the author of the Bolt Action D-Day Overlord\, Soft Underbelly & and forthcoming Tough Gut campaign books. \nPlayers will be allocated a scenario to play taken from either the Soft Underbelly or Primosole Bridge books. These scenarios will be a combination of 1v1 and multiplayer games. The day will focus on Operation Husky (the invasion of Sicily) and the initial mainland invasions at Salerno. \nWestern Front Gamers is acknowledged as Bolt Action HQ in Sydney. Several members play-tested both forces and scenarios for the Soft Underbelly and Tough Gut books.

DESCRIPTION:Operation: Husky is the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum’s 2023 Annual Historically Themed event. This year’s event is orientated around the Allied lands on Sicily. During the landings the US 7th Army\, and the Commonwealth 8th Army\, along with strong airborne contingents launched what was the first strike back at the Axis\, with the intention of striking up the “Soft Underbelly of Europe”. Facing off against an under equipped yet substantial Italian garrison and a smaller yet very strong German presence.
