DESCRIPTION:This event is a large scale\, narrative driven Bolt Action campaign themed around Operation Market Garden\, designed to recreate the scope\, pressure\, and decision making of one of the most ambitious operations of the Second World War. Over multiple months\, two teams of players\, divided into Allied and Axis\, will fight through 45 linked missions played across eight days of the historic campaign. The campaign focuses on the key phases of the operation\, including airborne landings\, bridge seizures\, corridor fighting\, and counterattacks. More than half of the scenarios are written to reflect specific historical situations\, terrain challenges\, and operational objectives\, ensuring that no two games feel the same. \nWhat makes this event stand out is the persistence and consequence built into every game. Results directly affect the evolving campaign narrative\, shaping later missions\, tatical and strategic options for both teams. Players are not just competing for individual victories but contributing to a wider operational outcome alongside their teammates. In addition to the competitive element\, the event strongly emphasizes theme\, hobby\, and immersion. The aim is to create an unforgettable experience that rewards tactical skill\, teamwork\, historical flavor\, and hobby excellence\, making it appealing both to seasoned tournament players and narrative focused hobbyists who want to feel part of something bigger than a single game.

DESCRIPTION:The Generals Outpost are hosting another Bolt Action Big Battle on Saturday 14th March at their meeting place in Gateshead. \nThe Theme for this battle is the 2nd Battle of El-Alamein \nJoin the existing players on he Allied side as British\, Indians\, New Zealanders and French who under Montgomery are trying to push Rommel out of North Africa.\nOpposing them are an equal number number of Axis players who’s German & Italian forces are determined to halt Monty at El-Alamein. \nJoin the battle on either side and play on one of four huge multiplayer tables\, each featuring a different part of the North African battle line. \nAll levels of playing ability & painting welcome.

This year’s Casual Campaigns will use a variation of the recently released Road to Valhalla campaign system for Bolt Action and Konflikt ’47\, allowing participants to play a series of games. Throughout the retreat they will grow the size of their armies using a unit randomizer to vary unit selection and morale. Unique challenges will be presented to the participants as they receive units and fight against force compositions that they wouldn’t see during normal play sessions. The campaign will have a narrative\, a total of 19 unique missions to be assigned and features three battles shaped by the participant’s efforts throughout the event. As the retreat gets closer a campaign packet will be made available digitally to attendees\, with printed campaign packets on hand during the event to facilitate army creation and tabletop play.
