SUMMARY:Fall 2024 Bolt Action Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Basic Rules \nHave Fun! \n·         All Judges rulings are final\, let’s keep things moving. \n·         Make 3 copies of your army list and provide 1 to tournament director and 1 to your opponent at game time. \n·         Army lists are due to the Tournament Organizer 48 hours before the event. \n·         Review both lists and answer questions. \n·         TO will discuss Scenery before starting play.  \n·         All Tables will have a list of terrain types on a table card \nGeneral Tournament Rules \nEntry Fee $20 \n750 points. No dice cap.       Please provide a vehicle stat card for every vehicle\, if not preprinted please make a neat legible card off of 3×5 index or custom printed.  \nTournament Timeline \nTournament will be 3 rounds with points accrued each round. \nRounds will be 2.25 hours with fifteen minutes between rounds and a 45 minute lunch break. \n10:30AM-1PM Round 1 \n1PM -1:45PM Lunch \n2PM – 4:30 Round 2 \n4:45 – 7:15 Round 3 \nTerrain Notes \nBocage \nImpassable to vehicles without hedgerow cutters.  Only passable to infantry. \nWater \nCreeks count as rough ground.  Larger rivers can only be crossed at fords and bridges.  Swamp requires a stuck die roll for vehicles.  They are stuck on a 1D6 roll of 5-6.  Swamp slows infantry to ½ of advance speed. \nStructures \nA building must be intact to count as a building.  Ruins count as heavy cover and rough ground.  Tall ruins block line of sight.   Remember ruins are area terrain like tree clusters.  No HE against the Church! \nCraters \nCount as rough ground.  Impassible to wheeled vehicles and tracked may only advance. \nDesert \nSteep Slopes can only by crossed by infantry at advance speed. \nTable 1 Destroyed Village. If a player’s die is drawn\, he may place a smoke marker anywhere on the board.  The player will place the marker and then roll 1d6 and an order die to determine scatter direction.  Use the arrow on the order die to determine direction. SUMMARY:Kursk\, the Battle for Prokhorovka
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to mount up and roll out in the Generals Outpost’s most ambitious Bolt Action Big Battle / Tournament yet.\nTake part in a giant Kursk themed battle involving tank platoons and infantry divisions based upon the German offensive at Kursk (Operation Citadel). \nOne Huge table (11′ x 7′)\, two dice bags a whole day of fun\, with the Russians trying to stop the German Blitzkrieg at Prokhorovka. \nUnlike traditional tournaments where each player plays multiple opponents throughout the day we have arranged for the following (as each side will be working together as a team): Trophies for the top Axis and Allied commanders who wreck the most damage on the day as well as our famous “most cinematic action” trophy. We also have prizes for the top four players and the “most cinematic action” winner (These will be based on “Early War” which fits our coming battles for 2025). \n2nd Edition Rules. The last event at our club to use them before we transition to 3rd Edition.\nModels can be provided if you do not have any which match this period. \nEntry is FREE for members – £10 for non members \n6 German players confirmed\, each with 1250pt armoured infantry armies (the tables are big\, they need the transport) & 8 Russian players each with 1000pt armies. \nAs of 15/08/24 we have 2 places left (1 German & 1 Russian). \nThere is even a side game of Achtung Panzer tracking the main Bolt Action as German Panthers try to outflank the Russians.
