SUMMARY:Konflikt 47 Slow Grow League
DESCRIPTION:The new edition of Konflikt 47 drew the attention of a lot or players in our community! Some experienced Warlord players\, and a few from other game systems who became “Konflikt Kurious” and wanted to know more. With the release of the new army sets\, we saw a lot of players ready themselves quickly with a new force\, and were eager to start learning the rules. After several demo games and conversations in store\, we organised a slow grow league to allow new players to learn the game in an escalation league\, where the points increase each month\, leading to larger games but with better knowledge of their units and rules! \nThe league will use some restrictions\, to keep the smaller games more balanced\, and stop higher armoured infantry units dominating the early stages. For example\, month 1 will only allow a maximum damage value of 8 for vehicles\, and 7 for infantry. There is also a cap of 2 copies of the same unit\, excluding commanders\, to encourage players to bring a balanced force to begin with. Our league co-ordinator\, Matt\, has also made an awesome hex map\, where players can fight for territories in Dresden\, and claim them for their nation’s glory! A visual map and narrative background has paved the way for an exciting campaign\, and I can’t wait to see how it looks in the closing weeks as we prepare for a big battle final!

DESCRIPTION:Come join me for a three round Bolt Action tournament held at the Vietnam Veterans Hall in Clovis California. Bring your 1250 point\, max 16 order dice\, max four platoon army to this friendly tournament. Players are asked to bring a fully painted historically themed army such as The Ox and Bucks at Pegasus Bridge or The Green Devils at Monte Casino and provide a brief historical description of your army. Participants will vote for best themed aims painted army and the winner will receive a special prize and certificate.\nVictory at Vet Fest will honor our nations veterans with every veteran present being given a free sprue of Bolt Action infantry. The tournament will be played on highly detailed tables recognizable with locations such as the Normandy Bocage region\, the ruins of Berlin\, and the deserts of North Africa. DESCRIPTION:LSHM runs a fall/winter convention MILLENNIUMCON in November\, so this is our\nannual summer event. This will be our 10 th year running it\, we have moved around\nthe city of San Antonio\, and this will be our 4 th location to hold the event. DESCRIPTION:1250 Points\nThree 3 hour rounds\nMax 26 Order Dice\nMax 5 Platoons\nMissions will be drawn from the Commanders Compendium written by Bo Mortensen & David Hesselfeldt\nThis is the first actual Bolt Action Tournament in Albuquerque ever? In a while? As far as I’m aware no one has tried\nbefore. We have a growing community of gamers I have created a discord for\, the New Mexico Historic and Other\nGames\, so the NM HOGs. We are working on an emblem and mascot (a javelina wearing a helmet and military gear). \nThe idea being to make Operation Roadrunner a yearly thing\, grow the community here\, and hopefully get space to run\nthis event at War in the Wasteland next year. (WitW was supposed to be a NM gaming expo held by several of the local\nstores and several very passionate local gamers. The first year was a little rough\, but their 40k tournament and Narrative\nevent seemed to go off without a hitch. I was able to do several K47 demos there as the event went on. They had to\ndownsize this year due to venue change and space restrictions\, the owner of Taven is one of the organizers for the event\nso showing him we can actually run a tournament might help toward that goal). All of this will hopefully lead to more\nevents for Bolt Action and Konflikt 47 in New Mexico.\nWith any luck this is also show the local games stores that Bolt Action and Konflikt 47 are a thing here in ABQ. The store\nI was previously the SARGE for (Hammersmiths Guild) decided to stop selling the product and I just learned a few days\nago that the store we are having the tournament at (Tavern of Souls) moved all their BA/K47 stuff to the discount table to\nget rid of it all. They said they would still do direct orders\, but carrying the product in the store is in question. So\, it’s time\nfor the local community of historic and weird war gamers to make a show of force.
