SUMMARY:Caladrius Games Escalation & Veni\, Vidi\, Vici Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Currently we have a small informal local Bolt Action community comprised of new players\nand a few seasoned tournament veterans (one 2023 WTC participant). Our goal is entice\nmore players\, educate everyone on the new 3rd Edition rule set and build a sense of\ncollegial competition. We have designed a simple and straightforward set of rules for the\nescalation league designed to value education over competition. The culmination will be a\ncompetitive format tournament in August we are calling “Veni\, Vidi\, Vici”. In addition to\npromotional flyers in area game stores\, we have tried to weekly build hype and draw in new\nplayers via Caladrius Games (host store) Facebook site\, as well as both Georgia and\nTennessee Bolt Action Facebook groups. Thus far the response has been bigger than we\nreasonably hoped. January 26th we are hosting a kicko event to introduce everyone to\nthe format\, familiarize with the 3 terrain tables we have built for the league and answer any\nquestions regarding the league\, tournament or 3rd Edition rule set. This will include free\nhamburgers and hotdogs to hopefully entice any fence sitters and allow for socializing.\nMyself and another player have offered free loaner armies for anyone that would like to play\nbut may have nancial constraints.

SUMMARY:South African Nationals
DESCRIPTION:The South African Nationals has been a regular event on the Bolt Action calendar in South Africa\, but due to vast traveling distances in South Africa and the cost involved it is not always possible to get all the players together for a tournament in one place. We have there for opted to host the national event on alternating years between the Southern areas (Cape Town) and the Northern areas (Pretoria) for the people able to attend and then host mini tournaments in each area every year for the ones not able. \nThis year it is the chance for the North to show their mettle. The Bolt Action community in South Africa has seen tremendous growth over the last year with a lot of new players joining the game\, last year we hosted a local tournament with 2 divisions for new and experienced players\, to make sure same level experienced players together. The Nationals this year will be the culmination of all the hard work of the new guys to come to show off their skill on the big stage and all in the same category. We have decided that the army points for the tournament will be 1100pts and a 20 order dice cap\, to make it a bit easier and more flexible for newer players who does not yet have a full fledged army to still compete and learn how to build a army to compete over various missions. For most players in the North this will be their first Nationals and we are proud to say that there are also a lot of interest from other people all over South Africa.

SUMMARY:Bolt Action Panzerschreck 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Panzerschreck was a feared anti-tank weapon of WW2. With that in mind\, who can knock out the most tanks this year?\nEvery list will be required to take at least 2 light tanks (Armour 8+) or heavier\, with an order dice cap in place. This is to hopefully push people into taking more or heavier tanks than the minimum and to keep the games to a reasonable pace and length. \nForce restrictions:\nNo more then 1250pts\nLists MUST INCLUDE AT LEAST 2 units with 8+ armour (Eg – Stuart\, BT7\, M10\, Panzer II etc) or heavier\, The 2 or more armoured units can be a combo of 8+ and 10+ or 9+ and 9+ for example.\nMax 14 order dice \nThis event happens every year around the same time of year. and has been going for at least 20 years with Flames of war. Bolt action has joined in for the last 5 years that it has gone ahead (covid interrupted) Last year had 14 people\, and we hope to get to 20 people Building on the 16 we had a Valleycon earlier this year. With the Bolt action community being very small in NZ due to the vast number of different games out there the growing number of new faces at each event is great.
