SUMMARY:Caladrius Games Escalation & Veni\, Vidi\, Vici Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Currently we have a small informal local Bolt Action community comprised of new players\nand a few seasoned tournament veterans (one 2023 WTC participant). Our goal is entice\nmore players\, educate everyone on the new 3rd Edition rule set and build a sense of\ncollegial competition. We have designed a simple and straightforward set of rules for the\nescalation league designed to value education over competition. The culmination will be a\ncompetitive format tournament in August we are calling “Veni\, Vidi\, Vici”. In addition to\npromotional flyers in area game stores\, we have tried to weekly build hype and draw in new\nplayers via Caladrius Games (host store) Facebook site\, as well as both Georgia and\nTennessee Bolt Action Facebook groups. Thus far the response has been bigger than we\nreasonably hoped. January 26th we are hosting a kicko event to introduce everyone to\nthe format\, familiarize with the 3 terrain tables we have built for the league and answer any\nquestions regarding the league\, tournament or 3rd Edition rule set. This will include free\nhamburgers and hotdogs to hopefully entice any fence sitters and allow for socializing.\nMyself and another player have offered free loaner armies for anyone that would like to play\nbut may have nancial constraints.

DESCRIPTION:We have a 6 week learn to play league kicking off next week\, and we have 21 players registered. 8 of the players have less than 5 games total of bolt action under their belt and even more have barely touched V3. We had our pre league intro night yesterday and had 10 people playing at once on a Monday evening. As well as victory points we are doing a hobby competition with the goal of building and painting a 1000pts force from scratch in ~2 months.

SUMMARY:Learn to play Bolt Action at Kublacon
DESCRIPTION:I will be running a Learn to Play Bolt Action version 3 event at one of the largest game\nconventions on the west coast. Kublacon takes place over the Memorial Day weekend\nand features 100’s of games and 1000’s of players from all over the world. My beautifully\ndetailed Normandy village table will be prominently located in the miniatures room and\nwill run from 9am until they kick me out. Everyone is welcome to sit down while I walk\nthem through a description of Bolt Action followed by at least one complete turn of the\ngame. I will also demonstrate how the Bolt Action App works. There will be two loaner\narmies available for any new players who want to try a complete game on one of the two\nadditional tables set up for anyone who wants to drop in for a casual game. Every player\nwho attends will be given a free sprue of Bolt Action miniatures and information on\nupcoming events as well as directions to local hobby stores and vendors that carry\nWarlord Games products.
