SUMMARY:Battle for Stalingrad!
DESCRIPTION:The Battle for Stalingrad is an immersive\, non competitive 2 day event which will see a total of 20 played scenarios chosen from Warlord Games’ Stalingrad and Case Blue campaign books. These Scenarios will involve steppe fighting before the siege of Stalingrad\, scenarios of the Soviet counteroffensive in the snowy\, frozen Winter of 43 and of course scenarios within the city where Germans and Soviets will fight for every inch on the game board. Iconic fights such as the Concrete Monolith and Pavlov’s house are among a long list of the many bloody battles that will be fought. \nFriuli War Games\, with this event\, is trying to organize a proper “Bolt Action Experience”. where players coming from all over Italy will feel immersed in these historic battles. The main goal if everyone to have as much fun as possible and to feel like they’re on the battle field with the (plastic) troops. With this mentality\, the group is looking to create a one of a kind event in Italy\, and to create a format which can be used for other campaigns in the future. We are working very hard to create the best quality tables and scenarios as possible\, to build a strong community for this more historical way of playing the beautiful game that is Bolt Action.  \nPictures and battle reports will follow the event…With Battle for Stalingrad we will be saying “goodbye V2 and welcome V3” as this event will be played using the V2 rules not having enough time to experiment with the new rules.

DESCRIPTION:battles are played\, 2 with 600 infantry points and 2 battles with 1000 points\nFrom this list you can take a maximum of 600 PT for the infantry with support weapons for the two 600 PT games! This means that the 1000 PT list can contain a maximum of 600 PT infantry with support weapons.\nThis 1000 PT list could then be divided like this: 570 PT infantry with support weapons and the remaining 430 PT\nin vehicles etc. according to Reinforced Platoon.\nWith your 1000 PT list you then play the other two battles.\nAfter this army building\, we are now playing the second tournament which is very popular among the players. A different structure for the army\, but ultimately also for us as this last tournament in this format takes place in V2.

SUMMARY:Small Unit Tactics III
DESCRIPTION:Small Unit Tactics III will be held at The House of war on Saturday 21 September 2024. We’ll be playing three rounds of Bolt Action in an event for both experienced and beginner players alike\, where the winner will be decided by Tournament Points. Any ties will be separated by Strength of Schedule. This is an opportunity to say farewell to Bolt Action Version 2\, before the release of Version 3 in late September 2024. As a result\, we are loosening the list building requirements and opening up the field to a variety of lists out of the many supplements Warlord has released for Bolt Action across the journey. This is an opportunity to have one final go with your favourite lists in V2 before the next version comes along! \nPlayers will assemble 950-point forces and can come from Reinforced Platoons or Theatre Selectors\, while remaining a single platoon. There are a number of points adjustments for this event all of which can be found in detail in the player pack located here: https://1drv.ms/b/s!AlmtjlOa19yCiD83o9SaKlz8_1_N?e=lHbWQY \nEfforts will be made to keep historical matchups between Allied and Axis players where possible\, but if the difference in tournament points is too high or we have more players of one side than the other then we’ll revert to Swiss-chess pairings.

SUMMARY:Southern Thrust 2024
DESCRIPTION:3rd annual Southern thrust event\, on the West Australian Bolt action calendar is held as the only main Bolt action event outside our capital Perth. It is the perfect opportunity for a road trip with friends or family offering two half days of play in the beautiful town of Albany\, on a West Australian long weekend!\n It is unique in that it has minimal restrictions on what you may bring but instead offers critical incentives to create a more balanced or themed list by way of list selection that counts towards your tournament victory points every game! As the custom secondaries reward those themed list selections for achieving actions\, even if you are behind on the Victory points awarded for a specific mission your still capable of a round win for having a more opponent friendly list.\nThis year we are allowing dual platoons. 1201pts and a 17 order dice cap. Games are 2.5hrs across Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Dinner on Saturday is provided after the days play for anyone that wishes to hang around and socialise.
