SUMMARY:Battle for Stalingrad!
DESCRIPTION:The Battle for Stalingrad is an immersive\, non competitive 2 day event which will see a total of 20 played scenarios chosen from Warlord Games’ Stalingrad and Case Blue campaign books. These Scenarios will involve steppe fighting before the siege of Stalingrad\, scenarios of the Soviet counteroffensive in the snowy\, frozen Winter of 43 and of course scenarios within the city where Germans and Soviets will fight for every inch on the game board. Iconic fights such as the Concrete Monolith and Pavlov’s house are among a long list of the many bloody battles that will be fought. \nFriuli War Games\, with this event\, is trying to organize a proper “Bolt Action Experience”. where players coming from all over Italy will feel immersed in these historic battles. The main goal if everyone to have as much fun as possible and to feel like they’re on the battle field with the (plastic) troops. With this mentality\, the group is looking to create a one of a kind event in Italy\, and to create a format which can be used for other campaigns in the future. We are working very hard to create the best quality tables and scenarios as possible\, to build a strong community for this more historical way of playing the beautiful game that is Bolt Action.  \nPictures and battle reports will follow the event…With Battle for Stalingrad we will be saying “goodbye V2 and welcome V3” as this event will be played using the V2 rules not having enough time to experiment with the new rules.

SUMMARY:Boot Camp Stonehenge: The Shamasai Simulations
DESCRIPTION:A ‘Beyond the Gates of Antares’ learning event for newcomers to Antares on 18th March 2017. \n \nBoscombe Down and Amesbury Wargames Club has joined with the Gate Builders to present an Antares learning day. The day aims to provide newcomers to Antares an opportunity to learn the game through play\, with experienced players on hand to answer questions and acts as informed opponents. Throughout the day we’ll have a weighted faction league table to show the progress of those factions taking part. There will also be handouts and a free prize draw for registered attendees\, with Antares prizes donated by Warlord Games and Sarissa Precision. \n+++++ IMTel Alert: Combined Command Shard only +++++\nThe IMTel has determined that the existence of systems containing hostile nanospore are a dire threats to its existence. It is\, therefore\, running an intensive training program to learn how to handle such hostile situations and develop more effective tactics. Individual Combined Command platoons are invited to immerse themselves within a virtual environment and take on the roles of many of the Concord’s more regular opponents. \nTo acquire more data\, contact your local IMTel shard.\n+++++ End Alert +++++ \nDate/Time/Place: Registration from 9.30am at the Nicolson Centre\, Stockport Road\, Boscombe Down\, Amesbury\, SP4 7LN. Games start is 10am sharp and we expect to finish by 6pm at the latest. This is a monthly club day\, too\, so expect other games to be going on around you! \nPoints: 500 and 750 points. Do send in two lists\, if you have them\, but a 500 point force on its own is perfectly fine. The list should have no characters\, no leader upgrades\, and no artefacts. Some armies are available if you do not have your own – please let us know. \nEntry: £2 (standard club rate)\, payable at the door. However\, attendees _must_ register beforehand as numbers are limited.
