SUMMARY:Battle for Stalingrad!
DESCRIPTION:The Battle for Stalingrad is an immersive\, non competitive 2 day event which will see a total of 20 played scenarios chosen from Warlord Games’ Stalingrad and Case Blue campaign books. These Scenarios will involve steppe fighting before the siege of Stalingrad\, scenarios of the Soviet counteroffensive in the snowy\, frozen Winter of 43 and of course scenarios within the city where Germans and Soviets will fight for every inch on the game board. Iconic fights such as the Concrete Monolith and Pavlov’s house are among a long list of the many bloody battles that will be fought. \nFriuli War Games\, with this event\, is trying to organize a proper “Bolt Action Experience”. where players coming from all over Italy will feel immersed in these historic battles. The main goal if everyone to have as much fun as possible and to feel like they’re on the battle field with the (plastic) troops. With this mentality\, the group is looking to create a one of a kind event in Italy\, and to create a format which can be used for other campaigns in the future. We are working very hard to create the best quality tables and scenarios as possible\, to build a strong community for this more historical way of playing the beautiful game that is Bolt Action.  \nPictures and battle reports will follow the event…With Battle for Stalingrad we will be saying “goodbye V2 and welcome V3” as this event will be played using the V2 rules not having enough time to experiment with the new rules.

DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\nGeneral Information\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Hammerhead Experience!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHammerhead is run by Kallistra Ltd with assistance from The Forest Outlaws Wargamers Club\, GCN and support fromMiniature Wargames with Battlegames\, Wargames Illustrated and Wargames Soldiers and Strategy. \nPreparations for Hammerhead 2016 are well underway\, with all trade space fully booked and over 50 participation games already confirmed! \nA collection of images from Hammerhead 2015 can been viewed below – and a full show report can be read here. \nThe Hammerhead Experience\nEvery game at Hammerhead is visitor participation\, which means that you are very welcome ‘to have a go’ at a wide variety of different historical and fantasy based games run by intrepid gaming clubs\, historical societies\, wargame companies and enthusiastic groups of gamers. You will be able to play a full game or simply move a few miniatures\, roll some dice\, have a chat with the people running the game and then move onto the next. The show provides a great opportunity to try out new or familiar game systems and spend a day indulging yourself and friends in this absorbing and fascinating hobby. Whether you’re interested in Napoleonics\,\, WWI and WWII\, Ancients\, Medieval\, Fantasy or Science Fiction\, we are sure that you will find a selection of games you would like to play. \nThe Venue\nHammerhead 2016 is being held at the same great venue as in 2015 – The George Stephenson Exhibition Hall\, Newark Showground which offers a welcoming environment with plenty of natural light in which you can play games\, shop for wargame goodies from a selection of top traders positioned around the perimeter of the hall. The visitor participation games are all located in the central area of the exhibition hall. It has its own catering facilities\, which will be serving a variety of reasonably priced hot and cold food throughout the day.The car parking is plentiful\, free and Newark Showground is only a few minutes from the A1. Follow the link on the side menu for directions to Hammerhead. \n \nEntry\nHammerhead opens to the public at 10:00am and closes at 4:30pm \nEntry fee: £5 per adult\, £3 for minors (16 and under)\, Children under 9 free \nAll tickets bought online will entitle the ticket holder to a free pewter miniature of a French\, British or German WW1 general\, which you collect on entry to Hammerhead.
