SUMMARY:Battle for Stalingrad!
DESCRIPTION:The Battle for Stalingrad is an immersive\, non competitive 2 day event which will see a total of 20 played scenarios chosen from Warlord Games’ Stalingrad and Case Blue campaign books. These Scenarios will involve steppe fighting before the siege of Stalingrad\, scenarios of the Soviet counteroffensive in the snowy\, frozen Winter of 43 and of course scenarios within the city where Germans and Soviets will fight for every inch on the game board. Iconic fights such as the Concrete Monolith and Pavlov’s house are among a long list of the many bloody battles that will be fought. \nFriuli War Games\, with this event\, is trying to organize a proper “Bolt Action Experience”. where players coming from all over Italy will feel immersed in these historic battles. The main goal if everyone to have as much fun as possible and to feel like they’re on the battle field with the (plastic) troops. With this mentality\, the group is looking to create a one of a kind event in Italy\, and to create a format which can be used for other campaigns in the future. We are working very hard to create the best quality tables and scenarios as possible\, to build a strong community for this more historical way of playing the beautiful game that is Bolt Action.  \nPictures and battle reports will follow the event…With Battle for Stalingrad we will be saying “goodbye V2 and welcome V3” as this event will be played using the V2 rules not having enough time to experiment with the new rules.

SUMMARY:Colours - Newbury
DESCRIPTION:Colours is the premier wargaming show in the South\, with up to 80 traders in attendance and as many as 40 demonstration and/or participation games over the weekend\, PLUS\, lots of hard fought competitions in wargaming\, modelling and figure painting (open to all)\, and a very popular Bring and Buy Stall. \nThe Show also features demonstrations of model making and painting by experts from a number of model making societies and displays of uniforms\, weapons\, drill and combat by the living history and re-enactment organisations. \nOver the course of the day\, several thousand people typically attend the show\, which takes over all three floors of the magnificent Grandstand at Newbury Racecourse and\, weather permitting\, spills outside. As you would expect of a show of this quality and magnitude\, the trade stands\, displays\, games and competitions are carefully integrated and laid out\, and complementary Show Guides with complete floor plans are issued on entry. \nCatering is fully laid on\, providing a range of hot and cold food\, hot and cold beverages\, and a bar. Many people take the opportunity to sit outside on the Grandstand terraces to enjoy their lunch and the views across the Racecourse\, especially if the weather is good. \nThere is ample free parking if you are driving to the show\, and Newbury Racecourse also has its own station (open Saturdays) if you are travelling by train\, and Newbury rail and bus stations are both within easy walking distance. \nBe prepared for the WARGAMES EXPERIENCE OF THE YEAR!
