SUMMARY:Battle for Stalingrad!
DESCRIPTION:The Battle for Stalingrad is an immersive\, non competitive 2 day event which will see a total of 20 played scenarios chosen from Warlord Games’ Stalingrad and Case Blue campaign books. These Scenarios will involve steppe fighting before the siege of Stalingrad\, scenarios of the Soviet counteroffensive in the snowy\, frozen Winter of 43 and of course scenarios within the city where Germans and Soviets will fight for every inch on the game board. Iconic fights such as the Concrete Monolith and Pavlov’s house are among a long list of the many bloody battles that will be fought. \nFriuli War Games\, with this event\, is trying to organize a proper “Bolt Action Experience”. where players coming from all over Italy will feel immersed in these historic battles. The main goal if everyone to have as much fun as possible and to feel like they’re on the battle field with the (plastic) troops. With this mentality\, the group is looking to create a one of a kind event in Italy\, and to create a format which can be used for other campaigns in the future. We are working very hard to create the best quality tables and scenarios as possible\, to build a strong community for this more historical way of playing the beautiful game that is Bolt Action.  \nPictures and battle reports will follow the event…With Battle for Stalingrad we will be saying “goodbye V2 and welcome V3” as this event will be played using the V2 rules not having enough time to experiment with the new rules.

DESCRIPTION:Cardiff Wargames Club is proud to present for the second year the: \nBolt Action Welsh Open.\n\nOctober 4th – 5th 2014 we invite you to Firestorm Games\, Cardiff\, South Wales\, to join us in this fun and action packed weekend. \nThe venue is located in Cardiff City Centre\, we are a 2 minute walk from the central train station. The venue has a fully licenced bar and boasts easy accesses to hotels\, restaurants and good night life\, for those of us that can play games with a hangover. \nFirm believes that if it ain’t broken don’t fix it\, similar to last year. You will embark on a 2 day campaign style Tournament to try and re-write the chapters of history. There is 10 Axis and 10 Allied places.\nNo Blue on Blue. \nYou will be fighting 5 games\, 4 at 1000pts \, and of course as we had such great feed back last year\, one 650pts per player co-op armoured platoon game. \nTo start the weekend off Saturday morning\, players will be random put together to form a co-operative alliance\, so you play side by side with somebody you don’t know. this will allow you to get involved with everyone at the tournament\, and help you to get acquainted with friend and foe alike. \nThis year we will incorporate the theme again of playing not only for yourselves but for the side you represent (Axis/Allies). This will be represented on the day of the event for all to see. \nThere will be prizes for the top 3 players from each side over the full weekend\, along with prizes for the winners of both days. Also prizes will be given for acts of valour and stupidity alike. DESCRIPTION:Just a quick reminder that RICK PRIESTLEY and NICK SIMMERSON will be putting on demonstrations of the new kick ass sci-fi game BEYOND THE GATES OF ANTARES on the Warlord Games stand all weekend. I’m sure this will be very busy all weekend so please make sure you get in as early as you can! \n2014 Sees Warlord’s continuing support of the mighty Derby Wargames show held at Castle Donington International Exhibition Centre\, home to awesome motor racing events and amazing Toy Soldier shows but also an amazing collection of beautiful Military vehicles! \nEntry is £5 per adult\, £4 per child. \nThe Wheatcroft Collection\nIn addition to the Grand Prix cars\, part of The Wheatcroft Collection has also gone on display at the world famous Donington Grand Prix Collection. The first hall has been transformed to hold part of the collection ‘never seen before in public’. A number of World War II vehicles and motorcycles have arrived at the museum and more are expected to join these vehicles throughout the coming year. Kevin Wheatcroft\, the collections founder\, said “The time is right to open the doors to some of these treasures.
